You can damage storage mushu in a level 1 run to take out chaos’s core in literally less than 2 seconds

I’m replaying the series now for the first time in years. I remember KH1 being much better than 2 imo. I felt like 2 dumbed down the worlds and made everything much more linear, whereas with the original I remember getting lost in some of the worlds like Aladdin, the whale’s interior maze, even Tarzan’s jungle had some tricky parts. In KH2 the worlds were super linear. But I could be mis-remembering so I’m interested to see if I feel differently on my current playthrough. I haven’t played these games since they originally came out when I played the hell out of them. I have fresh eyes as I prepare for my first time playing KH3

did you ever make a video like this on any other kingdom hearts? you really should this is great even though I found it a bit late because I just finished my lvl 1 run a few months ago. keep it up!

Just smash X for about 90% of the time. Roll/parry 5%, and 5% cast cure

Bit late, but I just thought it was worth mentioning that the short hop to a parry tactic is only better than guarding until you get the counterattack ability, since counterattack can completely eliminate all recoil to spring immediately into a counter. I know you all ready mentioned counterattack, but I found guard to be more forgiving with the timing than a ground parry.

Any tip for practicing short hop aerials? I want to be able to hit shadows with all 3 hits. I would love to learn the speedrun for this game but my air combos are weak

Sooo you didnt need to give them items to have them heal you in battle….. oh

I thought it’d go: item to party member, sora needs healing, member is like "hey i have a potion here" and then you’re healed. I’m saying that I didn’t think they can help you if they had no items on them

I just got Kingdom Hearts on the Switch, first time player, used to watch my older brother play it when we were kids, and I was wondering why I was having such a struggle, I selected Final Mix: Beginner figuring that would be the easiest mode, then I ended up playing 5 and a half hours, getting frustrated, found your video just to find out that mode was not the mode they recommended for first timers, going to start again in Final Mix

Was thinking of making a series out of this. Wanted to throw some love towards KH1 and put out a useful, fully edited video for the end of the year. Let me know if you like this idea and what other games you would like to see.

Thanks for sticking with me and all the support everyone!

    April 16, 2022 @ 10:31 am

finally I found an indepth explanation of damage storage! knowing that the finisher has to land and it’s not enough to just perform it if it misses. also that these attributes work even when not at level one, as not having scan really makes these things hard to see. slight misinformation about second chance and once more on zero EXP but that’s forgivable given the rest of the video.

    April 16, 2022 @ 10:32 am

Thanks for making this video. While KH1 combat has plenty of issues, it is very under appreciated in many respects!

One thing I came to appreciate about parries by the way, is the fact that you can use attacks in conjunction with target switching to redirect one enemy’s attack to hit another enemy. This is an advanced technique I like to call the Reversal Parry. I especially like using Aerial Reversal Parries!

By the way, I’ve done damage testing videos, and they demonstrate that marginal stats matter a lot, if I remember correctly. Basically physical damage with attacks doubles for every four additional points of Strength, Fire & Blizzard spells double in damage for every four additional points of Max MP, and Thunder magic doubles in damage for every two additional points of Max MP.
