You videos are excellent! I use to play music when I was young but never reached an academic level. All you say, even if complex sounds clear to me. You are a great teacher, and we can see you love what you do. Seriously, congratulations, this content is really qualitative and this is rare these days.

U know when ur listening to a new song and you think it’s reached a peak but it gets better. This is what a lot of Joe Hisaishi songs do. He’s absolute master

Please do a part 2 of Ghibli film music! Especially the "sixth station" from Spirited Away, or the main theme from Porco Rosso. Both are piano heavy bangers!

With the Merry-go-round of life the pacing is also quite special. Its written as a waltz and starts slow and almost somber then picks up speed more and more until it hits its climax then winds back down, much like how a merry-go-round goes.

His music has helped me calm down from meltdowns. As an autistic person, I get meltdowns from sensory overload, and Mr. Hisashi’s music for sone reason does the trick in helping me come down from them. I owe so much to him. His music will always be a special part of my life. It was an integral part of my childhood, and helped me with recovering from meltdowns.

Nice to see someone analysed piano music from Japanese movies/series, unfortunately it is only Studio Ghibli. Please checkout the music from the movie おおかみこどもの雨と雪 (Ōkami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki, Eng. title Wolf children) by Studio Chizu.
