I don’t think it’s too unpopular to say you don’t like dragon ball.
For me, I’ve moved on from it since I got really burned out(and still am) and moved onto other stuff.
Mainly, Saint Seiya and fist of the north star, which are better examples of that sort of sub genre.

I remember this game causing quite the rage.
And I don’t mean just hype, me and chaos have had some TERRIBLE experiences during this game.
Remember when NPCs had super armor and Super Saiyan can spam whatever ultimate they wanted as long as their ki was above 0? Or the bugged Z-Soul that gave full health everytime you landed a punch?

While i like Dragonball. I find it abhorred how other animes get Zero love. As the likes of Slayer or Trigun for example.
Trigun the awesome steampunk futuristic post apocalyptic wild west-wasteland scenario. How the hell, can this franchise be ignored? It has everything!
And Slayers, the epitome of magic & fantasy. Combined with nonstop humor and more believable world threatening plot, inside of the lore.
With these two franchises alone, someone could make not only many games in all kind of genres. They could create the best of the best video games ever.
You don’t always have to follow the anime in a 1to1 copied manner! Use the worlds, use the lore. Tell a different story. Go awesome!
Till this day, we didn’t get awesomeness, we got only shieeeeeet! One DB-Z iteration copies the other since SNES times. Thats all we really get.

Personally, I thought this game was okay though I think Xenoverse 2 and ZFighters were much better.

This game is good even great at release BUT it becomes impossible to play with any other race after a few hours. SSJ 2 Simulator 2015

Melee combat in Xenoverse is incredibly slow, if compared to Budokai Tenkaichi 3… a PS2 game

Have you taken a look at Ultimate General: Civil War or Ultimate General Gettysburg? I don’t have the latter but I don’t see both games in your reviews/requests list.

Hey DW great review! I was wondering can you give me any open world games of any genre really. Ive played Fallout New Vegas and loved it. I tried witcher 3 but not a huge fan. I just find most open world games to have alot of "busy work" as you like to say. I appreciate anybody giving me some suggestions. Thanks

Oh hai DWT! Wat a story! 😛 Nice review! I consider myself a big DB fan but don’t care much about Z. I loved the original japanese uncensored version x) They went way too overboard, way too fast with it. Especially in Z and on…(with the scaling of chars powers)

I respect your right to not like Dragon Ball, but it was never as repetitive as you’re making it out to be. The show has suffered so much parody and hyperbole that people now talk about it like that’s how it really was. But anyway, I mostly agree with your points about Xenoverse.

tbh FighterZ is the better fighter. The Xenoverse series is black sheep of the dragon ball fighting games there way fun dragon ball even back on the ps2.

this shit has so little going for it and dosent even have destructible enviroments. A dos game from 1993 has better destructible enviroments. Magic Carpet 1&2.
