I’m not gonna watch because I don’t have that much time (i’m already re-watching via your reactions Legend Of the Galatic Heroes lol), but I would recommend that you watch the original serie’s end before moving to the movies(one is End of Evangelion the other one I can’t remember the name).
About other medias, for some time I watched a lot (and I mean a lot) of films, then a lot of games and now I watch a little of anime and play games. I still want to make games on my own, but that will probably take some years, I’m 25 by the way. I have, or at least I think I have XD a good sense of what games are essential to me, games that I put on a pedestal because I consider works of art, If you are interest I could list a top ten of some sorts later to you (I don’t know why I like top ten so much lol)

This was really cool to watch, I just always love hearing peoples theories and ideas on EVA and your videos are always super in depth so overall this was really interesting and enjoyable!

So I’m not sure how interested you would be in it, but whenever anyone mentions books I always bring up "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss. I have read a crap ton of books (only fiction though), seen movies, shows etc. and I’ve never found anything better than this book. I happened to pick it up on a whim in a second-hand bookstore after a recommendation from a friend of a relative, simply saying "it’s really good". I am so glad that I was desperate for something to read at that moment.

EDIT: Oh yeah, also I can’t say why it’s so good. Not because of spoilers or anything, but because I honestly don’t know how to describe why I love it. I could say it has amazingly written characters, the greatest magic system of all time (for realism reasons, otherwise Nen is at the top), amazing world-building, etc. etc. but even that isn’t enough. Anyway I’m rambling a lot, basically idk what I’m talking about but it’s really good I swear.

Eva not only popularized more philosophical approach to traditional shonen genres, most importantly it opened TV anime on original shows. Before EVA most anime shows on TV were based on either books or manga, very, VERY few shows had an original script and they were never a commercial success. Then, EVA came, was a HUGE hit and thanks to that in the years that followed more original anime such as Utena or Cowboy Bebop were produced. I always say : doesnt matter if you like it or not, Evangelion changed the industry for the better.

I’m interested if you’ve seen Made in Abyss before? Your MAL doesn’t list it, so i assume no?

did you enjoy all the educational stuff you watched as a kid?

i wasn’t allowed to consume tons of media as a kid although I was allowed to watch stuff that was non-educational and I’d played a few video games on the wii and eventually a ds, but I kinda get that cuz like the 3ds had internet access and when I needed a computer for school, I also went all in. started watching anime in 7th grade and got soooooo immersed for a while, and I kept it a complete secret from my family, I got a little obsessed with the freedom it gave me. bad for my health and my grades, but I did discover that I really really love different forms of storytelling. i was a kid who loved to read as well, but I mostly only read fiction, except maybe like the little house on the prairie books? I read a shit ton of books, a lot of which I think I was too young to really get and honestly think I’d enjoy more now, like the dragonriders of pern. also really love avatar too, I’ve seen it so many times and it’ll never get old to me ?
anyway sorry for rambling haha, just reminded me of my own childhood a bit.
but like yeah I watched evangelion when I had just turned 15, got really into it, it kind of made me a little more depressed lol. also some of ur stories remind me when I’d google search boobs on my nintendo 3ds and then I’d be like OH FUCK OH SHIT and delete my search history and freak out thinking that someone would see it even though it was literally on my 3ds. also same story on my first computer lolll and then I even thought I was straight LOLLL

just found your channel. you’re doing pretty much every anime of this season that i like: jojo, bunny girl, zombieland saga, except the one about slime and goblin slayer that i also freaking love. and now you are also watching classics like eva with such great analysis, thank you so much for this. have you seen steins gate or monster? if not please consider to watch them cuz these are phenomenal shows/ and sorry if i make some mistakes – english is not my first language.p.s. man i really like that you put so much effort in this reactions but maybe try to keep your videos a little bit shorter)) because i don’t have so much time but really want to watch your reactions)))

Honestly, those first 25 minutes were interesting too. You had some restrictions in the past, but watching you remembering things with a smile makes me smile too.
