Johnny vs. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 & 3
I wasn’t surprised to see this dominate the voting poll, but that’s the power of demand folks. Dragon Ball Z Budokai was a somewhat decent attempt to make a good Dragon Ball fighting game, but it fell short in a lot of places. Do the sequels do any better? Power-up to maximum level and see what the second and third installment change for better or worse.

my biggest issue with 3 compared to 2 is how the ultimate is done. You can only use it by going red and then pulling the trigger. And it’s hard to land so basically it becomes a game of waiting for your opponent to go red, follow suit, dodge until they drain first, use ultimate. I thoroughly enjoyed the combo input for dolling out the ultimates in budokai 2.
I also preferred the what-if fusions as well.

Tenkaichi 3 is by far the best dbz game I’ve ever played. If you own a ps2 you should buy the game which should be cheap and try it, it doesn’t disappoint

They really should have put all three games in the hd collection. I know the second wasnt as popular as the others but honestly the first one, gameplay wise was really bad, like 6 super attacks and opponents cheap as fuck. Looking at you Cell, but i honestly can’t see why they didnt put it in

Kinda wish Kid Goku was actually Goku from GT, but with a Powerpole. That way, it’d pretty much be the same exact character, but stronger and can transform to SS1, SS3, and SS4

Once he plays or trys Tenkaichi Budokai 3 he will regret saying that last line in this video. In that game you can play as every character ever made in Dragon Ball Z (some GT and Dragon ball too) and even all background characters and filler characters. Johnny you NEED to check that one out. Just skip all the classic DBZ fighters and just play that one to feel like you missed the most important retro DBZ fighting game ever made.
