I don’t know if it counts as a spoiler or not because I haven’t seen the game explain why vanitas looks like sora but I will put a warning anyway
You can actually see how ventus lived despite being close to death and how vanitas came to look like sora was at beginning of but during a cutscene you see xehanort bring ventus to destiny island since after vanitas was created ventus was close to death and xehanort brought him back to where he was born which is destiny island so he can die in peace but at the same time sora was born and because of this i think soars heart reached out to ventus and saved his life but also because of this is changed vanitas since before he wore the mask because he had no face but when soras and ventus hearts fused together it changed vanitas giving him a face that looks like sora

I honestly can’t wait for Aqua’s story 👏.
But I do wish Brandon (DBG) would utilize the melding mechanic to it’s fullest, as well as the D-link, Command board etc., & learn on his own what each does if he is going to 100% the game, considering the fact he had somewhat low hp end game, had 3 curagas, not that great attacks besides firaga, & they didn’t look like they were reloading quick enough.

I’m glad you’re loving the story. I just wish you would enjoy the gameplay to its fullest instead of MinMaxing, grinding, and ignoring most of the good stuff. Like there are four or five hours of pure struggle edited out of this.
Just makes it all a little bittersweet because of how worried I am about the overall quality of your experience. Grinding in this game doesn’t have to be a chore at all, with all the options available to you. It’s so easy to integrate that it doesn’t even feel like grinding as long as you start doing it in the beginning.

I think the only thing that is missing from the big keyblade war cutscene is the moment Xehanort holds onto Ventus, in the original KH2 version, a piece of Ventus’ helmet breaks off. In that moment you see the fear and panic in his eyes before he is burned and frozen and it’s that tiny detail which amplifies the whole scene; well with the music and sound design of course. Anyway, nitpicks aside, another great chapter complete! I have a feeling the Aqua chapter is gonna be rough (emotionally), but I’m still looking forward to it!

Also, yeah Ven’s theme is super emotional. And Braig’s eye color changes starting now. In Terra’s story his eyes are brown, but here they are yellow.

9:00 I’ve found the area around the tree hideout to be a good place for leveling up commands. Enter the hideout, load up on new commands, fight the Unversed outside, and go back in to repeat the process. Meld commands and get more abilities quick and easy.
29:38 Xehanort is playing Ventus for a fool. The old man is using Ven’s frustration regarding the secrets surrounding him.
39:14 Vanitus is the darkness of Ven’s heart made physical, extracted by Xehanort as a means to obtaining the X-Blade.

Remember the prologue? Like right at the beginning of the game, pre-tutorial? A newborn heart helped heal Ventus’ broken stained glass, which represents his heart. Vanitas was that part which was ripped out of him.

So all this time it was a light version of roxas and a dark version of sora, as 2 halves of a double super kingdom key, yet everything I try to look up just says “nah, it’s not at all connected to sora or roxas, it’s just a funny coincidence for basically no reason”. Like wow I was all good following KH lore, but I think this game finally confused me.

I understand this is a stream and time is limited. I’d argue that spending 30 min doing a bit of research before starting stream would not only make the stream more entertaining due to better gameplay, but would also reduce the amount of time spent stagnant and full of frustration.

I’ll admit though… I was expecting a more “expressive” response upon seeing Vanitas’s true face. A little lackluster, so I kinda was disappointed. But all good.
Your reaction to the “incomplete” X-Blade was more or less what I expected on the Vanitas reveal. Though, that reaction got a chuckle out of me.

Just so you know you can use melding to get abilities to make your Curaga reload faster.
You can stack them five times. Each. The game kind of expects you to have at least a few by this point, honestly.
And your HP is so low you’d only need Cura to top it off anyway.
And Ventus can meld several unique offensive moves that heal him.
And you D Linked with Vanitas at the end there. D Link is actually a pretty cool mechanic.

The reason you had trouble with the final Vanitas sequence is because you haven’t been using D-Links and understanding how they work. If you did you would have recognized what was happening immediately. You really should use them because some of them are Uber powerful.

To anyone who’s upset that he’s not playing the way you want and still sticking around for the story: I’m upset too. But there’s no point in spreading my negativity around just because it personally makes me upset.
If you want to do something constructive, comment your advice where you couldn’t chat it. Try to explain, instead of complaining.
Because he’s not going to listen if you go negative. He’s just not. Not if you get upset. Not if you taunt or bully or lose your temper. Not if you insult the moderators who have become his close friends. Not if you use your content to make him look like a fool. So stop.
Now then, I’m upset that DeeBee seems to think that we are telling him how to play, when I, personally, at least, just want hard confirmation he’s seen what the game is capable of and has made a conscious choice not to use it. As opposed to just thinking the game is like that and there’s nothing else beyond the small range of options he’s explored.
In short, I’d like to see his reactions to some of Everglow’s BBS videos.

Suure I’ll smash LIKE… when you finally read the gameplay instructions the game throws in front of you thoroughly instead of mashing through it ignoring learning/trying the bbs “materia” and “limit break” systems completely. Hollywood/netflix attempts to woo franchise fans often bomb because they didnt actually cater to audience and just assumed these series “sell themselves” to fans 🙄 Ignoring your audience completely and only letting 1 narcissist mod backseat your whole journey doesn’t earn my 👍 you can do better lol

Couple of things read all reports don’t forget any. Also couple of fights I want you to try you get them for each character after finishing one will be at the keyblade graveyard at the badlands. Once you beat there story and then one will be at land of departure after completing a story and then the last two are secret fights in the mirage arena if you get it all the way up to lvl 30 just by doing the quest

Xehanort didn’t really give him up for “adoption.” But he absolutely dropped a Comatose Ventus off on Eraqus……as seen at the beginning of the game. And as others have pointed out, Ventus’ heart was indeed shattered when Vanitas (the darkness in Ventus’ heart) was stripped out.

The end of his second playthrough in this game, the man still doesn’t meld commands to raise his HP and damage.
At this point i don’t even know if his struggle gives me excitement or anxiatey.
