So to all of the people who are upset that Peter Cullen is no longer available for promos on Toonami should remember this stuff; this narrator’s name is Howard Parker.
He’s been doing their promos for years, and he’s got JUST as much street cred as Peter Cullen. So, respect y’all.

I know this comment was posted a long time ago, but it was in somewhere in between May-July of 2006 or 2007. I only remember this because I was like 13 or something when that happened.. (If you know what I mean, lol. 😛 )

The promo is very good with the exception of the last line, "see with eyes unclouded by hate." The line is used waaaaaaay out of context. lol XD

+china2africa They had to keep the TV-14-V on for awhile so that there was no weight to if a parent complained about how Princess Mononoke was too violent for their little kids.

Announcer: In a small town in Hawaii, there was a lonely girl named Lilo. She didn’t have any friends. She didn’t get along with her sister
Nani: Go to your room!
Lilo: I’m already in my room!
Announcer: But then one day
Nani: Go on, pick someone out.
Lilo: Hello? Are there any animals in here?
Announcer: She found a new friend.
Lilo: Hi.
Stitch: Hi.
Lilo: Wow.
Announcer: But what she didn’t know was that he was an alien from outer space. Toonami is proud to present a story of friendship and family.
Stitch: This is my family
Announcer: It’s the Academy Award nominated film Lilo and Stitch, premiering Saturday night at 7:30 part of A Month of Disney. Paradise will never be the same. Only Toonami on Cartoon Network

Couple of things:
1) Cartoon Network should do Month of Miyazaki again. I remember watching those movies when I was younger, and it would be awesome if others in this generation got the same experience.
2) This promo is awesome. And the announcer’s voice is killer! It really shows some of the movie’s stellar animation.
3) That wolf’s laugh gives me CHILLS every single time.

Apparently parents took their little kids with them to see this in theaters, for reasons apparently having something to do with Pokemon.
Also apparently, more than one aformentioned parent stormed out of the theater with their kids at the first decapitation.
But yeah this movie was awesome and definitely deserved to be on Toonami.
