Sword Art Online Movie: Progressive "Aria of a Starless Night" – Official Main Trailer | English Sub
Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night opens in Japan on October 30.
The theme song “Yuke” “Go Forth” features lyrics by LiSA, and is composed by Ayase from YOASOBI, and arranged by Ryo Eguchi.
About:
One month after Akihiko Kayaba’s game of death began, the death toll continues to rise, two thousand players having already lost their lives to the ultra-difficult VRMMO world of Sword Art Online. On the day of the strategy meeting to plan out the first-floor boss battle, Kirito, a solo player who vows to fight alone to get stronger, runs into a rare, high-level female player. She gracefully dispatches powerful monsters with a single rapier that flashes like a shooting star in the night…

I just came back from seeing it in theaters, and it was great. Even besides just being nostalgic.
I wouldn’t mind if this ended up being a reboot, telling the story in a different way. Again, but through movies.

You know I stopped watching anime a long time ago, but still have a big heart for anime movie screenings in the cinema’s. After watching Demon Slayer Mugen Train in the cinema I really fancied another anime movie on the big screen. SAO happend to be the next one and I went to see it today. During the screening I noted how great the animation was, but at the same time having the urge to go home and rewatch Mugen Train. The story was bland and characters were boring and even cringe at some points. I hoped the movie would peak me in picking up the serie, but instead made me understand were the hate comes from.

ok, I watched this and was extremely annoyed as I thought it was going to be season 1 of SAO but without the gaps, hell I don’t mind that asuna is the main character but this new character they are ramming in doesn’t belong, it was a fantastic anime and they have destroyed so much plot development that asuna had, also what happened to all the plot we had about what asuna did in the back story scenes in season 1, where asuna was alone and after seeing the announcement she stayed in a room and didn’t leave as she was scared, but after a while she hated what she had become and pulled herself together and went to the boss raid for the floor one boss. now they have destroyed this plot and now are trying to make their own? like what the hell, we loved the story of the first season and just wasn’t to see a better animated and more plot version. meaning just filling in the gaps that the original left out and just give us awesome info about what they did and how they grinded. that all we want. I get that this comment section may be all daisy’s and butterfly’s about this anime movie but am not really happy about it. am surprised you guys who probably love sword art online just as much or even more than me, haven’t picked up on these holes that might ruin this anime for many, hell we don’t want what happened with anime and fortnite, where most kids now look at naruto and think they stole naruto from fortnite.

Written on June 9th, 2022:
Sword Art Online was the very first official anime I ever watched. I, like many others, was drawn into the story by the amazing concept of the show. And when I watched it, it introduced me to a medium that spans entire genres in the best ways one could think of. Attack On Titan, A Silent Voice, Your Name, Violet Evergarden, My Hero Academia, Naruto, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai, Chivalry of a Failed Knight, Highschool of the Dead, Tokyo Ghoul, the list goes on and on.
Watching this show changed my preferences in fiction forever and led me to watch many of the shows above, where Attack On Titan in particular, changed my entire outlook on life and morality itself.
I will not lie and say that the plot is perfect, it definitely holds problems that not many other stories have. I, like many others, am not afraid to say that this story has some questionable moments that have frustrated me for a long time.
And, yet, it is still one of my most favorite anime of all time. Simply because of all the amazing shows and stories I was given the opportunity to see because I watched the first episode as a kid in my early teens. Watching this story, throughout it’s ups and downs, has shaped so much of my life and personality in a way that ensures that it will always stick with me, no matter what.
I am writing this because tomorrow I am graduating high school and finally entering adulthood, after an entire decade of studying in all forms of school as well as watching anime. And throughout it all, the memory of watching SAO still sticks as a large part of my childhood.
I am not a kid anymore. And, for those who started watching at the time I did, neither are you.
Yet, when I watch this story, it reminds me of what it felt like in those days, just being a kid watching anime. And that’s something I will always appreciate, no matter what.
Sword Art Online introduced to a genre that changed my entire outlook on life and for that I will be eternally grateful. Truly, watching this show for the first time as a kid was one of the best decisions I ever made. And now, SAO Progressive is proving that the directors and writers of the story are finally taking the plot seriously and actively trying to give us a better and more detailed story than the one we originally knew. And I am so excited for it.
So, thank you, Sword Art Online. Thank you for introducing me to this amazing genre called anime. Thank you for your help in making me the man I am today.

Ya’ll talk like you seen this show a long ass time ago when I only just found this anime on Netflix earlier this year which was the first time I’ve watched it and I just recently learned that this anime actually came out in 2012 and I am assuming that the English dubbed series did not come out until much later.
