To me, this is the first film I was introduced to Studio Ghibli itself. After seeing this again, after 7 or 6 years, I still think this is really good in an entertaining way possible.

honestly *and don’t hit me with a brick* I didn’t like princess mononoke that much. it was beautiful but when I watched I was kind of let down. I also think nausicaa was done much better tbh and think the message and story was conveyed much better.

PG 13??? I watched this movie when I was in junior kindergarten, at least one a week. Comes to prove how good of a movie Princess Mononoke is. ?

i watch your reviews to hear YOU speak tony, not just open the vid to see you let someone else "take the reins" again and again. starting to sound like a broken record when you do it repeatedly

I saw this movie as I was getting more into anime back in high school and found it amazing! Plus, it was during the time I had eye sight to appreciate the artwork in this movie and appreciate it. I am not sure how I would react to it with the little sight I have seeing this film again.

You know the part where people say that nobody is really good or evil in "Princess Mononoke"? Well that’s only partially true because last time I checked, the only actual bad guy was jigo. I say that because unlike Eboshi, he wanted the deer god’s head out of greed not out of protection for the village.

I never understood why this movie was named Princess Mononoke. Ashitaka is the main character lol. Great movie but the only problem I really had was the title.

This will sound weird but when I bought the movie to watch it, I forgot that I’ve seen it before. Once I was about halfway through, I realized "Oh yeah. I’ve seen this. But why don’t I remember it?" And in ask seriousness, it was the title. If it was named after the main lead or something different, I probably would’ve remembered it. But, instead, I thought the film was something completely different.

Silly mistake but that’s my odd gripe of the movie lol.

Since you’ve gotten into these studio ghibli anime films, you just can’t not watfch Sword of the Stranger. It’s not a studio ghibli, but it’s really awesome and quite realistic. Definitely one of the best anime films out there, hopefully you will review it 🙂
