Kirishima has come a long way he has become my second favotite character with Bakugou as my number 1 favorite. I hope Kirishima continues to get great character development. Also the Bakugou and Uraraka moment in the Omake was great <3

Horikoshi even finds a way to spice up the relatively standard talk from Crimson Riot with little details (like "woman can also be manly" etc.), nice. But the thing that stood out to me the most was Kirishima stating that the words from Crimson Riot were just "cool" to him as a kid and didn’t really stick with him. Hearing them again years later is what made him truly understand them. This backstory is so grounded, I’m surprised Kirishima can even lift his feet up. You also have to remember that this wasn’t a 180. We know that he still has confidence issues. It was just a first push and the fact that it was done by reflecting on words instead of something with action (which you might expect from someone like Kirishima) is an awesome contrast to his usual behaviour.
Oh yeah, before you crazy shippers start shipping, think about what the relationship between Mina and Kirishima is. There is absolutely no romance to be found here. Mina is an inspiration and friend (or "horn buddy") to Kirishima and you should respect that.

I just realized there is a major parallel between izuku and kirishima think about it both are considered unable to become heroes/ considered deprived in the quirks department (izuku being quirkless and kirishima being given a seemingly useless/not good quirk) and both at a real low in their life get newfound determination after hearing words from their idols (they also share a deep respect for their idols) I really hope the writer goes deeper with this connection

seeing this last 2 chapters make me 1, like Kirishima a lot more, and 2, like Mina a lot
in Kirishima’s case is knowing more about his resolution
in Mina’s case is getting an insight into what seemed into a selfish character, but trutfully, there is a gold heart there, amd while she does try to keep a, lets say, idol look, I feel getting famous isnt her end goal, but being famous will help reach her end goal faster, now what I feel her end goal is its more of what was shown in the first part of the flashback, how she made the bullies and the bullied end up friendly, so getting that message around, its easier for her to do it if she tooks that route

Kirishima’s big worry is going *back to what he used to be.* That’s a very real concern for some people. They are able to advance and become more confident or more responsible or just better people. And they *don’t want to regress* (sort of like reverse character development), that is Kirishima’s fear: so he runs headfirst into danger because he wants to act before the fear becomes too much to handle.
Explains why he almost immediately ran ahead when the Bakugou-retrieval Team assembled.
I feel like I understand Kirishima completely now, he’s so precious and courageous and yeah the red color is definitively better on him. Crimson is my new hero he knows *haki* AND WHO spotted *Luffy’s hat* on Kirishima’s friend ?????
And sorry but *Horn buddies* gotta be my new ship, yes, gotta be. Abroad guys…abroad !

Crimon Riot’s and Kirishima’s philosophy reminds me a lot of the Kamen Rider OOO’s song "Regret Nothing – Tighten Up". It would be a perfect theme for them.
