I love the new arc and the episode but I would have liked it better if team 10 didn’t join Bluetooth and sarada, because the main reason I loved it so much was because it felt as if bourbon and sarada were on a chase on a lonely road with only each other. Giving a feeling of sneaking around and a thrill in a sense. But since team 10 joined I guess they can’t change it. Love what they are doing though

I don’t think Orochimaru is completely evil, I think his relentless pursuit of knowledge can be viewed and misinterpreted as evil, but I think it’s more than evident that Orochimaru reformed during the 4th Ninja War, even going as far as to save Tsunade’s life. Though it is not revealed why yet, Orochimaru made this particular Mitsuki very different and gave him a more "human" element. Despite the things he may say, he cares deeply for Mitsuki, and wants him to explore his "humanity", because the lack of the "humanity" in other clones is where Orochimaru has gone wrong in the past. He knows Mitsuki needed to connect with others and grow into the powerful young man he is meant to become. Now with that being said, Orochimaru definitely has some up. Maybe because Boruto is Sasuke’s student, he may want him to embrace the ways of the snake, like Anko and Sasuke. That mode of thinking could go for Sarada as well, but I don’t think Oorchimaru has much interest in her (as of yet) because of her "tainted" bloodline (in terms of Sakura being her mother, and Sakura not having a unique kekkei denkai to pass on. Sasuke even had to remind him that; "My wife is not weak"). I do think as she develops he’ll take more of an interest in her, but for right now his main focus is on Boruto and the effect Boruto has on Mitsuki. There may be some validity to Mitsuki having some Otsutski DNA, but if he does, how the heck did Orochimaru get it? Unless he took a sample from Black Zestu off panel, which is entirely possible because I don’t recall seeing Orochimaru caught up in the Infinite Tsukuyomi (please correct me if I am wrong)with the rest of ninja world. With him not being completely human, he may have been immune to the effects.
All in all I do think Orochimaru is a changed person. When he was first introduced, he was intent of destroying Konoha, I believe this started to change after he took in Sasuke, who I believe (despite his claims of wanting his body) he came to care for. By the time of the 4th Ninja War, he changed, he realized that (like Sasuke) he does love his home, and finds that there is something to the "Will of Fire". It’s that something that he wants to replicate, because that will be the key to unlocking the deeper secrets of life and power. He thought he could achieve that by becoming a "parent"( something that normal human beings do), but something was not quite right. Hence the current Mitsuki clone. By giving that clone the "human element" and pre testing it (see the arc on how this Mitsuki develops Sage Mode, where the others could not) and sending it to Konoha, Orochimaru can now witness the full and complete development of what Mitsuki can become. Orochimaru may be unorthodox and calculating, but I don’t believe he is entirely evil, and I don’t think he wants the world to end, which is why his so complacent with his agreement with Naruto. Not that he can be completely trusted, but he can be trusted in doing his part to help protect the world, because he still has so much to learn from it. We’ll just have to wait and see.

I don’t understand why people say it’s filler. Sure, there are a _few_ things that don’t correlate in terms of anime-manga adaptations but come on. Look at the My Hero Academia "exam" arc where the students fight the teachers. Isn’t that kinda the same?

The original Mitsuki was taken over by Orochimaru, in shippuden, watch the episode where Sasuke kills Orochimaru, you can see a person who appears like the elder Mistsuki. As one of Orochimaru’s past victims of his rebirth ritual.

I think the cold behavior of oruchimaru towards mitsuki before boruto was a part of experiment, he wanted boruto to feel connected and lead him as his sun. If sun disappear moon wouldn’t shine. So if boruto gets away or kept distance or disconnected with mitsuki, that moon sun phenomenon not gonna happen. Thats why oruchimaru said to boruto that mitsuki is replaceable for him, which made boruto to even more concerned about mitsuki as he don’t even have loving parent n live on his own . That self destruction seal will only work if oruchimaru wanted it, but not when others comes to know.
