To be fair, GoT has dragons and a certain bloodline (the Targaryens) that they will only submit to. But, I see your point regardless. A crazy theory that I had when I first watched this series was that Eren was turned into a puddle of blood and organs and that his blood somehow influenced its will onto the titan that ate him. Whether that’s true or not, I won’t say, but that pomegranate-looking chunk of flesh from the last episode gave me that feeling when it was strangely shown to the viewer as glistening. You’ve already seen up until episode 14 so the following statement may be a mute point, but all will be explained eventually. Whether it’s in the next episode or the second half of season 3, I’ll just leave that up to you to experience.

You should know that everything in this show was set up perfectly from the beginning and everything fits into place with 100% accuracy. You’re not meant to understand everything right off the bat, this show’s biggest selling point is the mystery behind everything imo.
