I heard Netflix’s dub adaptation doesn’t have the "fly me to the moon" ending due to copyright. Pretty sure it still has the original version. I’m not too sure to be honest.

watch it when I was more into anime and much older which I think is better. You can appreciate more with a more mature mind. It’s definitely a classic and one of the best series from the 90s. It’s super strange and very awesome. Its kinda exciting knowing I can watch now legally with great quality unlike before. I’d agree its definitely worth checking out and almost a must watch for fans of the mecha anime.

Yes watch it, if they kept the original dub, if not no.

It is a must watch for sure, but I feel a lot of people dismiss it for being "artsy" or "protencious." Look its one thing to not like a series, but to denounce it just cause you didn’t like it is really dumb. Everyone should give it a chance.

This no doubt deserves a watch! Regardless of old school fans (like myself) being displeased with the new dub. This is an excellent show and deserves to be watched by every anime fan. Maybe look for the original English dub after watching what Netflix has to offer and make that call for yourself.

Is Alex really against watching this show or is that just a bit? I could only imagine if that were true that’d be a very weird thing to be completely against.

Weird that you, like pretty much everybody, went with the "death threat / response to fans" narrative.

I say watch it as well. It’s just something that needs to be seen, and it’s okay if people don’t like it. Just try to watch it.

You plan to do more videos on older anime now? That’d be really cool.

You’re really delving deep into classic anime now. Sounds more interesting than just reviewing new anime. I like you’re in detail perspective on why someone should watch this show. I’m more interested now and heck its free on Netflix so might as well.

I really think neon genesis evangelion is worth watching on Netflix (even tho you dont go fly me to the moon sadly ;-; just very sad/intense piano music) because it’s a classic that you really cant get a hold of really it’s hard to now because is so much money to try to get a physical copy or just to find a website that gives you this classic I’m gonna say this also this is my own opinion I dont understand why some people say they’re gonna ruin a classic by rebooting the English dub eith a new cast yes I understand it could be bad in a way and maybe translation errors in there somewhere but u can always watch the anime in the original Japanese even tho it says a "Netflix original" they just have the rights to call it that because it’s exclusive on their platform I think this is an opportunity embraces what we have here and experience a very very amazing classic

Just watch it, but anybody is asking for the picture quality. It looks amazing, I still own my perfect collection set from 2002 and looks really bad. English cast did great. But I’m used to hearing Spike Spencer as shinji. Yeah that’s what happens with these companies doing some changes. After all anybody wants know about the anime who young teenager. Check out it out, it change my whole life how I watch anime back in the day.

Let me put my two cents in here. The show and series as a whole is definitely a classic and very very well made. But not without it’s faults. I’d say there’s more positive then negative, but still there’s plently of things to not like. That being said its good despite some issues. It’s a show that people need to watch with low expections don’t expect the greatest thing in the history of anime and don’t expect it to be perfect. It’s a good show just check it out.
