    When i first saw this i thought this was the true ending, that shinji wakes up and it was all a dream. I was smiling happily. But then i saw the view of the NERV city again and him talking to his conscious state…… Disappointed.

    Ignore the title, this is EXACTLY what all of Eva is like.

    I mean seriously, it’s a rather uneventful slice of life, the most serious thing that happens is when Asuka gets in minor accident and spends a night in the hospital.

    For those that don’t know there is actually an official manga based on this alternative reality. It is called the Shinji Ikari Rising Project. Not exactly the same, a few details changed, but is still a good read.

    I wish this short episode was reality where Shinji lives but fights with angels, mechs and depression would be only his sleep🥺
    That would be awesome… Rei has her own identity here, she looks happy,she smiles and communicates easily
    Shinji’s mon is alive,they all live together as a family
    Pretty sad to realise that’s only alternative reality:(

    When I first saw this scene I thought it meant that the whole series was a dream that Shinji was having… and I can proudly say that having it be a dream would’ve been way easier to understand than what would actually end up happening…
