Love the recap openings starting with KH2’s. So well done. I think DDD’s is my favorite though. And yep KH2’s main theme is called “Sanctuary”.

Thank you so much for keeping the intro. I don’t care if you had to mute the music’s audio. I can always open up a tab to listen to it. KH2’s opening is too good not to see a reaction for the first time.

Yeeeeaahh! It’s here I have been looking forward to this moment for weeks, I hope you love this game as much as I do, it was an enormous part of my childhood when I played it on PS2.

KH1 warranted a sequel while KH2 warranted a franchise. Things have gotten whacky since but this game is special.

The triangle button, while it looks the same and functions a lot like the first game, is not the same, so it is best if you go into this game thinking of it completely different than the first game. its not just an interact button or an ability activation button. it is the Reaction Command.

Good timing with the Final Fantasy VIII playthrough 🙂
Y’know.. it surely isnt a must to play any of the final fantasies before kingdom hearts, but it makes the encounters with these characters so special. Actually didnt really care that much about Rai-jin and Fu-jin before.. but really love what they did with them here (the artstyle is so cute y’know) and your reaction is lovely.

Me and my friend hadn’t played COM when we started this, so we didn’t know who Namine was, or what happened to Sora.
So he thought Namine had hurt Sora, due to the opening.

Will Friedle voices him, who voiced Batman in the cartoon Batman Beyond.

Amazing playthrough also the enemy health will be where your face cam is at so you will have to move it down a bit if you didn’t know already.

YES YES YES YES YES! KH2 is the best game in the series! I am SO EXCITED to see you get into this!
It’s actually the first KH game I’ve played. I got into this series with this game instead of 1, which is part of why I consider KH1 to be so frustrating. Throughout my entire playthrough of KH1 I was just thinking “holy cow, did the games improve from there…”
THAT BEING SAID, the prologue is VERY drawn out, and repeated playthroughs through this sequence make the games’ flaws more obvious, like the dated dialogue that often comes over like HOW DO YOU DO FELLOW KIDS DO YOU WANNA GO SKATEBOARDS!

As for fun facts that I can think of the top of my head:
•Roxas is voiced by Jesse McCartney! Remember him? The singer? He plays Roxas and he’s amazing in this role.
•The little fella with the wizard hat hanging out with Seifer and crew is Vivi from FF9. Not surprised you didn’t react that much with him, but that’s another beloved Final Fantasy character.
•DiZ is still voiced by the legendary Christopher Lee in this game.
•Despite both KH1 and KH2 being from the same console generation (PS2), it never ceases to amaze me how much more cinematic this game looks. It’s amazing.
•If you had decided to play all of COM, you would’ve learned about Twilight Town’s name from there! Oh well, it doesn’t really matter in the end because you were still intrigued about the place.

“Sanctuary” is such a great song~ I like that you simply muted the audio but provided subtitles, since it meant I could pull open the intro in another tab and have it play the music elsewhere but still see your thoughts and comments ^^
Always love seeing people’s reactions to “OOOOH IT’S!!!” like you did to the FF crew ^^ It’s a pretty fun part of Kingdom Hearts~

When you find a map it automatically activates mini-map for that area which might be covered by your face – cam in the top right corner

I think KH2 is by far the best KH game so I believe you’ll enjoy this game much as well. But oh boy I can’t wait how confused you will get at the end of this game, at least on that point when you start Birth by sleep.
