the wolfs laugh is so delightfully evil

Why did they have to air the Disney version? The Disney version (the dub) is terrible. I wish there was a streamline version of Princess Mononoke but streamline was already no longer making dubs when Princess Mononoke came out. Disney did a poor job.

This looks awesome 😀

September 19, 2018 @ 3:07 pm
This makes me chuckle when I think about how strict they were in the previous years, I mean shit they couldn’t even use the word "kill" in Gundam Wing.
The FCC is really fucking weird.
September 19, 2018 @ 3:08 pm
My childhood, I remember repeatedly watching this when I was 4
September 19, 2018 @ 3:10 pm
woah….i dont remember this tho…shit theres so much animie to watch now. :O
September 19, 2018 @ 3:11 pm
If this movie was on Cartoon Network, it’d be on Adult Swim.
September 19, 2018 @ 3:11 pm
JESUS CHRIST!! How the hell was Cartoon Network able to get away with a TV-14-V rated program airing???
September 19, 2018 @ 3:11 pm
oh man these promos bring back memories the first time ive ever seen a miyazaki film and i didnt even know who he was once i seen the first movie i was like. i gotta see the next one. it just kept getting beter and beter.
September 19, 2018 @ 3:12 pm
Princess Mononoke was TV-14 on toonami? o-O. then why didnt toonami made the other animes uncut and TV-14 then?
September 19, 2018 @ 3:13 pm
@SerenityBeleverXX13 Me too! Seriously! Where the freak was I during this?! T^T
September 19, 2018 @ 3:14 pm
And now it’s "See a network devoid of good anime."
September 19, 2018 @ 3:17 pm
WOW!
September 19, 2018 @ 3:22 pm
@nerfballs2000 People who think subtitles distract from the beauty of the art. I know I know, the Japanese track is superior and this and that, but for those of us that don’t speak Japanese and don’t want ugly yellow lettering on the screen, this is an option.
September 19, 2018 @ 3:23 pm
there are gonna show this movie? on cartoon network?! … happy nightmares! o.O
September 19, 2018 @ 3:24 pm

September 19, 2018 @ 3:28 pm
My favorite Miyazaki movie. I remember I bought a toy bow and arrow because of this movie, and broke my window. My mom sure was pissed, but that didn’t stop me from shooting it, trying to be like Ashitaka. 😀
September 19, 2018 @ 3:30 pm

I remember a month of Miyazaki. They had the coolest promos for the movies.
September 19, 2018 @ 3:40 pm
@djhero0071 you can watch Japanese films on iPod touches and iPhones too! I rediscovered Spirited Away on Veoh.com (LOVE that site!) and watched all the Miyazaki films on my phone. I didn’t need an app or a download or anything! It was bliss :3
September 19, 2018 @ 3:40 pm
Damn, Moro. You scary.
September 19, 2018 @ 3:40 pm
Did they seriously air this under a TV-14 rating on Cartoon Network?
September 19, 2018 @ 3:41 pm
I swear on my grave this isn’t spam.you can watch this movie and a few others on veoh.com.Just look up the title and you can see it free.the only catch is you need the player but it’s free.and thumb this up…,or at least try it
September 19, 2018 @ 3:43 pm
toonami and adult swim at the time was really the pinnacle of anime in america
September 19, 2018 @ 3:44 pm
@MarshmallowKeyblade8 I remember, they played one movie a week, on saturday nights. It was back when they still had Toonami and a considerably better line-up in general than what they have now. If I remember correctly, the four films they aired were Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaa, then Castle in the Sky (not sure about the order).
September 19, 2018 @ 3:45 pm
this film has the best art direction in an action film period.
September 19, 2018 @ 3:46 pm
Mononoke was some bloody shit lol
September 19, 2018 @ 3:47 pm
I remember seeing this commercial, good times.

September 19, 2018 @ 3:51 pm
R.I.P Toonami… 🙁
September 19, 2018 @ 3:52 pm
@turo991 It was Toonami, theyre able to show cartoons with alittle more scenery like some killing and blood in it.
September 19, 2018 @ 3:54 pm
WHEN DID THEY EVER SHOW IT… OMG I WANNA KILL MYSELF >..<
September 19, 2018 @ 3:54 pm
I remember Miyazaki Month! It was the first time I saw Princess Mononoke, and I wonder if this was the promo that tipped me off to it. Aww, nostalgia. <3
I remember being surprised that it was allowed on cartoon network, given how violent it is. I was a pretty resilient kid, so massive violence in movies never bothered me much, as I knew it was all fake and in the movie. On rewatches, I never saw anything new, so I don’t think they edited it.
September 19, 2018 @ 3:56 pm
Wow, a whole month dedicated to my last name, I feel special now 😀
