September 25, 2018 @ 9:15 pm
I absolutely loved the first episodes of both of these shows. There are a LOT of rehashed crap this season, and these two are a breath of fresh air.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:16 pm
Agreed and looking forward to watching those series =)
September 25, 2018 @ 9:16 pm

September 25, 2018 @ 9:23 pm

September 25, 2018 @ 9:42 pm
Watched both shows, and they were awesome. I love episodic anime.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:42 pm
Thank you for the recommendations! As someone who doesn’t enjoy most action shonen anime, these types of anime are more of my jam.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:43 pm
He’s right.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:43 pm
true
September 25, 2018 @ 9:44 pm
When I saw the title of this vid, I thought for sure it was gonna be Miles’ defense for how much of anime is just laid-back, campy harem comedy…
Boy was I surprised to find that “Laid-Back Camp” is an actual title of an upcoming anime, lmao!
September 25, 2018 @ 9:46 pm
Why are most of the videos on this channel so quiet?
September 25, 2018 @ 9:46 pm
Welp, got me convinced to watch ’em next season.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:47 pm
YESS PREACH BOI ?
September 25, 2018 @ 9:47 pm
More mellow/reflective anime adventures, looking forward to these two shows.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:47 pm
miles is really obsessed with girls going on adventure huh
September 25, 2018 @ 9:47 pm
I simply watch something if it entertains me. If i find it doesnt capture me on the first episode its very likely i wont keep watching. Even when animes are slow good ones have a way to peek your interest, animes that cant do that i end up dropping them.
If at first i found something interesting and later on it got boring i just leave it on standby and maybe try to push an episode or two if i still feel the same way i drop them. Maybe months later or a year when theres nothing else to do ill give it a try.
After watching so many for a very long time i found out that the animes i tend to enjoy are the ones that get me on the first episode.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:48 pm
Says the journey not destination but I look for the journey but don’t see one in some anime? Like wtf
September 25, 2018 @ 9:49 pm
anime mentioned in the beginning:" mushishi " .
September 25, 2018 @ 9:49 pm
I love how neither series is actually episodic in the end. Both are amazing though, and Miles hit the nail on the head.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:49 pm
idk why but after listening to him speak i got goose-bumps and was on the verge of tearing up… . _ .
September 25, 2018 @ 9:49 pm
I get sick of shounen battle a lot.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:50 pm
So basically don’t knock it until you try it.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:52 pm
i think a big part of why i like laid back camp is that its voice acting, cute art, and music
September 25, 2018 @ 9:54 pm
I watched both of these shows.
"A place further than the universe" was among the best anime-series I’ve ever seen. Accompanying those four extremely well developed characters on the adventure of their lives was inspiring, empowering and most of all: extremely emotionally engaging!
With "Laid Back Camp" on the other hand I have a really hard time to justify why I even watched it. It was basically watching others relax, eat and sleep. Repetitive uneventfullness taken to it’s extreme. Maybe it was made for people who need something to just calm down.
September 25, 2018 @ 9:56 pm
Kino’s Journey was so amazing
September 25, 2018 @ 9:57 pm
*sniffles* I get it, man.
September 25, 2018 @ 10:04 pm
TOKYO GHOUL RE IN APRIL
September 25, 2018 @ 10:05 pm
you need to plan and edit a little more. but i do agree with what is said.
September 25, 2018 @ 10:06 pm
These two shows are my food for my soul.
September 25, 2018 @ 10:06 pm
I think I’m gonna check those out eventually, once I get a little further down my list of anime that I haven’t seen.. 😀
September 25, 2018 @ 10:09 pm
Antarctica is at the bottom of the Earth…
September 25, 2018 @ 10:11 pm
jojo’s
September 25, 2018 @ 10:11 pm
Hehe says 1 comment but won’t show it ??
September 25, 2018 @ 10:11 pm
Maybe it´s my age, but I´m way more today in any kind of SoL and laid back anime than I´m into all that action stuff. I love both shows so far. They are so calming, the characters are relatable and I feel sympathy for them, animations and artworks are great and music and sounddesign are fitting perfection. Maybe you have to get some time ahead in your real life to love shows like that, but I absolutely do 🙂
September 25, 2018 @ 10:13 pm
a lot of my favorite shows are episodic
cowboy bebop
space dandy
samurai champloo
kino’s journey
non non biyori
