I absolutely loved the first episodes of both of these shows. There are a LOT of rehashed crap this season, and these two are a breath of fresh air.

Thank you for the recommendations! As someone who doesn’t enjoy most action shonen anime, these types of anime are more of my jam.

When I saw the title of this vid, I thought for sure it was gonna be Miles’ defense for how much of anime is just laid-back, campy harem comedy…
Boy was I surprised to find that “Laid-Back Camp” is an actual title of an upcoming anime, lmao!

I simply watch something if it entertains me. If i find it doesnt capture me on the first episode its very likely i wont keep watching. Even when animes are slow good ones have a way to peek your interest, animes that cant do that i end up dropping them.
If at first i found something interesting and later on it got boring i just leave it on standby and maybe try to push an episode or two if i still feel the same way i drop them. Maybe months later or a year when theres nothing else to do ill give it a try.
After watching so many for a very long time i found out that the animes i tend to enjoy are the ones that get me on the first episode.

I love how neither series is actually episodic in the end. Both are amazing though, and Miles hit the nail on the head.

I watched both of these shows.
"A place further than the universe" was among the best anime-series I’ve ever seen. Accompanying those four extremely well developed characters on the adventure of their lives was inspiring, empowering and most of all: extremely emotionally engaging!
With "Laid Back Camp" on the other hand I have a really hard time to justify why I even watched it. It was basically watching others relax, eat and sleep. Repetitive uneventfullness taken to it’s extreme. Maybe it was made for people who need something to just calm down.

Maybe it´s my age, but I´m way more today in any kind of SoL and laid back anime than I´m into all that action stuff. I love both shows so far. They are so calming, the characters are relatable and I feel sympathy for them, animations and artworks are great and music and sounddesign are fitting perfection. Maybe you have to get some time ahead in your real life to love shows like that, but I absolutely do 🙂
