Is it wrong to think it’s like dragon ball Alternative Ki manipulation for Sora. So far he made a drill of energy and used the scrap away darkness to enhance it. To possibly show the origin his power is in magic and just starting to learn it.
Yozora on the other hand is on the level of Green Lantern power rings since his abilities are technological in origin

I think that all this information is very interesting and sora is actually doing what Riku said to Ansem in DDD Consume the darkness and return it to light or in this case Turn it to light.

I feel like scrap and build has a different meaning all together when it comes to sora, Remember sora is able to use light and darkness. So could this new ability simply be a natural progress of Sora’s ability to do this?

It might be to connect with Lost Matter Arc I could see a lot of Familiarities with Sora’s Journey In Kingdom Hearts Series but it might be referring to the Dark Seeker Saga as well even you included Yozora to. But I feel like that Sora he might have that exact Ability power with Yozora all he does to Scrap Build In Kingdom Hearts 4.

Sora has had the "Scrap" ability all through out the series. Everytime he slays an enemy, he steals a portion of their powers as his own. In KH2 he starts taking power from his allies to empower himself although if he’s too greedy Darkness erupts from within him. In KH3 he keeps his lust for power in line and only takes lux from enemies and uses that to enhance himself in battle. In the trailer for KH4 we see that he’s learned to skip absorbing the power he takes, instead immediately converts it into an attack.

a possibility could be that the scrap/build could be a placeholder for the menu, and they are seperate menu options for seperate characters. Light based characters use build, dark based characters use scrap.
