Want to hit level 100 with Sora, Donald, and Goofy and be ready to take on the hardest bosses in the entire game? I give you some of my top tips to get Sora maxed out!
The EXP Earring and Bracelet are available through synthesis.
The EXP Ring is from finishing 100 Acre Wood. You can only get the Necklace if you are playing on Beginner, or if you defeat the Mysterious Figure. (I don’t recommend going for the Mysterious Figure at a level lower than 70 anyways)

That moment when you didn’t realize that the dream weapons in the beginning determined your stats😭 I thought they were just beginner weapons, so I picked what Sora would probably pick and ended up picking to use shield and get rid of the sword

For me I go to third district in traverse town and summon Simba and sometimes I use stopga or gravity to kill off three waves of enemies. (Dark ball and Defenders)

There is a way to level to 15-20 on Destiny Island by fighting Tidus and deflecting his attack over and over again… Thats how I do it.

It’s been 5 years, but I’ll say that pushing a gold truffle into a corner then using aeroga will guarantee you get max hits. Use it once to find how many hits you get, then on the next truffle reapply it before you get to that point.

By the way for people who are watching this in 2020: a hidden property you may not know about the EXP accessories is that they don’t need to be equipped to Sora specifically, they can be equipped to any party member and will still have effect. Saying this just in case you have really important accessories on Sora that you don’t want to take off.

The heartless of the hollow bastion are already scatter to the other world even before the hollow bastion is sealed as long as we finish the first part of it (beating riku ansem)

If you need to grind to take on Neverland then just spam the Leon and Yuffie fight from the Pegasus cup and thays a free 700 exp per minute or 2. Im level 41 so it takes roughly a minute to do. Just remember to lock on to yuffie and spam Triangle and literally beat her onto a corner, dont worry about Leon hes not a threat until he hits half hp and even then you can mash X through him.
Overall Olympus is the best early game farm spot. I tried the traverse town loop and about 30exp per loop isnt fast enough

truth be told I just beat sephiroth over and over and over again. As long as I had an elixir for emergencies i’d never die, and he’d die in.. not too long, few minutes, maybe 10
proud mode too, at level 75+ he’s not too hard

Meh. I literally said F it and farmed the 2nd to last room of End Of The World and farmed Sephiroth a hell ton on times. Let me say this now: Farming Sephiroth is OPTIONAL. I did it cause it was way faster than any method I was currently using. On top of that, I ended up getting my ass whooped by Sephy a few times, but I got to LVL 100 regardless.

Speaking as someone who’s generally not good at video games and needs all the help from levelling they can get even near the beginning, best thing to do is to get a list of all the synthesis mats you’ll need and slog your way through them, particularly the lucid and spirit shards from normal heartless and soldier heartless.

At the top of the Jungle climb in Tarzan right before the room you go to the treehouse if you’re high enough level there’s an unlimited supply of small heartless in that room you can have Sora stand right on the tree branch and Donald and Goofy will do all the work you can just leave your system running and level that way

so what I just found out is in kh1 on the ps2 you know the not final mix. you dont get the exp ring for completing the 100 acre woods and I’m kinda mad cause I went out of my way to grr the torn pages before monstro Halloween town and atlantica thinking I’d get the ring then and have more levels for later on but no. the item isnt in the original game and I just wasted 7 hours gather dalmations and torn pages for nothing

In the original KH, I got to a level I coud beat Sephiroth at and just fought him over and over again to get to max level.
Seemed to be quite effective but they changed his AI and exp output in the Final Mix

FYI….. fastest way to level up is repeating seed 1-10 of the hades cup. You level up every 1-2 times running it. That’s a new level every 5-10 minutes. Way faster than this method.

I did that hotel loop while also including the gizmo shop in the loop last night, in just under 2 hours of repeating it I hopped from like level 52 up to level 67. Did it to gain some experience for fighting Kurt Zisa. Such a great grinding method late game tbh, especially since I started my journey at night

Where you fought guard armor for the first time is where I started my leveling. Id start this after hollow bastion. Those defenders drop a ton of exp and since there’s like 5 of them in that one area plus the massive spawn of dark balls you’ll get around 2,500 or more xp per visit (this includes the exp assesories). After that, I’ll go to where you fought opposite armor kill everything there then go to the hallway kill everything there then go to the Gizmo shop kill everything there then head up top the Gizmo shop kill everything on the roof tops then head back to the first area rinse and repeat. I was able to do this in under 5 hours and it felt fun. Your method works very well though. Keep up the great work 🙂

Leveling early makes everything so much easier though, at least to level 10. You can score a lot of exp points battling Tidus by blocking his attacks and not finishing him off asap.

best way to farm early on is to fight the jump rope chick, wait till she does her jump attack and parry it.. you get 1 tp and then another 1tp half a second later when the jump rope hits her head…
Run around her like mid distance and she’ll keep doing that same move…

(3 or 4 secs till she attacks again)
faster and easier than the ball guy imo

I sealed hollow bastion and am currently grinding the Hades Cup at the coliseum. Did like 4 runs and went from lvl 47 all the way to lvl 65

I just farm the rare truffle in the Hercules cup, you can pause and restart the fight as soon as you hit it for the 100th time and you’ll keep all the experience and start farming the rare truffle again immediately after.

early game just do the solo Selphie bug , do a loop of her jumping at you and deflect it repeatedly and she will never drop past 1 hp
