   This isn’t SAO anymore. It’s better. If you read the Alicization Storyline it is some of the best content out there. Alicization makes SAO better in every way. It gets darker, more intense, it has real consequences, and everything else people loved from the first season.

   *Spoiler*

   You’re not going to get to see GGO or ALO Kirito anymore but you’ll love what you get instead.

    Watched the episode hype af. Fell asleep after first 10 mins. woke up restarted the episode watched it again. I say an amazing start. (no sarcasm)

    This episode was so amazing. SAO has always been a guilty pleasure for me regardless of what others claim..but this ART STYLE. That Photon Sword Scene, the first half was nothing like anything else! And sooo good. I also really appreciated that 15 mins at the end to just sit at a table and explain a lot. Light novel readers etc already knew what’s up so there’s this thing where you’ve got most fans knowing about this or a person who won’t give this a try because The Anime Man and everyone else hates on SAO so bad. As an adult, who loves all levels of Anime, this shit was fucking fire flame.

    They didn’t mention it in the anime but Soul Translator technology is really expensive and can’t be commercialised in SAO verse for at least 20 to 30 years. So forget about making it a game. Plus the theory used in Soul Translator is a real life theory that was proposed in the 90s.

    As someone who has read the Light Novels I think they have represented them really well in the first episode.
