Can you please not? I love FLCL but it’s a completed series. No need for more seasons, shows, etc the first was just fine. A masterpiece is cheapened by shittier sequels

Being made by some random no name studio with none of the original minds behind it. Obviously just a cashgrab for the already existing fans of the series. The original FLCL looked way better than this lol. Why don’t you guys find someone who’s actually creative and can come up with some ~new~ ideas? Hiroki Satou and Kazuya Tsurumaki are the only people who should be touching this series.

Can’t wait! I enjoyed FLCL: Progressive and FLCL: Alternative. If you really loved this franchise you would be supportive and of course the people involved with anime have always made anime for profit so makes sense they should be profiting from it. That’s how all Entertainment works. If isn’t selling (succeeding) it gets axed.

I know you can’t judge a whole show by one clip. But this looks like that high velocity animation you’d see from FLCL 1 (Crystal FLCL? FLCL Clear?), which gives me high hopes in terms of visuals.

Looks like FLCL: Grunge will be directed by Hitoshi Takekiyo (Appleseed XIII) and produced by MontBlanc Pictures so maybe FLCL: Shoegaze which will be directed by Yutaka Uemura (FLCL Alternative) and be co-produced by Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass) and Studio NUT (FLCL Alternative, Deca-Dence) might be the traditional animation style.

The first season came out when I was a teenager and I LOVED IT, unfortunately though I didn’t like the 2 seasons that came after so I’m hoping this one brings it back to it’s roots

The overwhelming negativity here is just an embarrassment. I’m incredibly hyped for this return; I’m in the middle of my rewatch of the current 3 seasons right now, and realizing how many pieces of time they could fill in. From the looks of this preview, it could be pre-season 1, post-season 3, which could be huge! I’m hopeful we’re getting that and a true conclusion of the story post-season 2.

I would like to see Naota come back, but it’s also cool to see new characters. The only thing I hate is that all of these people are stuck on the original, like yeah it’s the best one but nobody wants to rewatch the same 7 episodes over and over again. We want something new and fresh.
