Kinda tangential-were those the Trigun glasses they were selling in the store or just a stock model? Asking because I bought an officially liscened pair many years ago (maaaaany) and those are exactly the same. I know Vash’s glasses have a special design but mine have the same dimensions, metal finish, etc. They still respect tradition and not constantly erasing the past just to make new junk tho so maybe it’s just the studio’s official design.

At the very least 3.0 + 1.0 HAS to better than the third film. I don’t know how I sat through that drivel. This coming from someone who actively enjoyed the first two for what they were, and what they added. For taking a risk and changing the plot, 3.0 had some of the worst editing and pacing I’ve ever seen. Not just in anime, but in anything ever.

so 3.0 + 1.0 points at it will be kind of a retelling of episode 1 and episode 3, confirming the theory that evangelion universe is a constantly repeating universe that keeps happening until it happens right, making all the rebuilds and the original, and end of Evangelion all connected and canon.

I was in the middle of recording a podcast when I saw on reddit that Anno had done a new paper lamp drawing for the fourth movie. It was pretty hilarious because me and my friend had wondered since 3.0 came out whether that Unit 2/8 combo was actually going to show up in the fourth movie, and I joyously said "Guess what? It’s a new version of Unit 2 that looks nothing like the ones we’ve seen before!"
