And now here we are, over 2 years later and the game has gotten some hefty dlc, including a brand new story, which while shorter, gives players branching pathes and unique fights for each mission depending on who you bring with you.
There’s actually a high hope for Xenoverse 3 being a true sequel, since 2’s dlc pretty much covered most new things that would be added if 3 was another 2.

before I watch the video. I feel like people who didn’t play xenoverse 1 will enjoy 2 more than someone who has will because x1 players have played the game then like a year or two (I don’t really know) a "brand new" game was released only for it to be almost the exact same save for some movie stuff with the super content, the stuff people thought it would be about made into a dlc. And new players will be like oh wow this cool. it I also think it’s shorter

I don’t see how you can state it’s barely average (6/10) but you like the game and recommend it.
To me, 6/10 is barely worth looking into.

I hate the game.
The camera makes it impossible to see where the hell your opponent is in the world.
Cruddy tracking has the character constantly hitting air because the opponent can move while you must stay in a straight line.
Recovery takes way to long and I’ve been caught in combos that make it impossible to retaliate because I had to wait such a long time to stand back up. I’ve been killed by just long ranged kicks because of this.
In my opinion, the game just isn’t fast enough for me. I want my attacks to land and not get interrupted mid cutscene just to get hit and never land an attack.
Fuck this game.

Yeah, I felt like they got a bit lazy with the sequel here. Copy paste the original xenoverse, add some shit and make patches, then BOOM. Game is on the market. Although, I really like the Hero Coliseum, That’s a good competitive and side mode. P.S The switch version is superior to the other Xenoverse 2 games.

I feel I’ve been a bit rude to Xenoverse players, honestly I’ve began to understand that the reason I disdain it is not only the MMO feel but the focus on CAC’s.
I feel it degrades the stuff I actually WANT. Dragon Ball. I just miss the unique things that made the games more true to the Anime back in the day. But Xenoverse does have some fun combat, it’s just not super varied.
I may get X2 as it’s on sale, and I’m being broken down by the Super characters. But one day I do hope we get a return to the good old titles.

I wish they would do more ridiculous stuff with the whole time travel thing. Like what if the villians buffed goku doing the saiyan saga so now you need to protect vegeta from the heroes as his death will fuck up the time line. Or what if you’re fighting some enemy time travelers during the ginyu force incident and ginyu ends up switching bodies with them compelling them to team up with you to get their body back

I got it on sale, so I only payed $35 or so for the deluxe edition, and I gotta say, if I’d payed full price, I would’ve felt cheated, and I almost feel bad for anyone who did.

Also I found the plentiful amount of teachers and the hub world to be large editions. And expert missions definitely don’t feel like a novel. Those things are difficult as hell..

I think this game is amazing, but its online has devolved into lagfests and aura slide, so you are forced to play offline, but the ai has the ability to do things no player can do without the assist of lag, like perfect blocking you in the middle of a combo, and the mechanics as of now forces you to play defensively because if you play offensively and the opponent is defensive they will end up wiping the floor with you.

Xenoverse 2 is amazing because all created character race has trainsformation and when you go super saiyan and power up and it doesn’t just go down in xenoverse one and you can stay in the form for as long as you want

yep glad I decided to buy the original for $16 new at walmart vs the newer one for $34. A wise investment indeed!
