My apologies for my mistakes in this guide, I should have researched and studied more…I will be honest at the time of making this guide I was a nooby player, finally got building somewhat correct and just wanted to try and help others, my apologies for the misleading video and I will have a new version up to replace this in the future!

For the big room how about u level it?, stll keep it that big, and see if it works. Dont forget to put a door on it too!, i dont think it counts as a room when there is no door or lightsource. I question the fact u dont even have a door on it tho, it might be this..

this is wrong. you can build wherever you like inside your base, as high as you like. I have multiple floor towers right now with 8 recognized rooms on each one. idk what your doing wrong. it must be glitchen out or something. cause all a room needs is two block high above the floor walls, a light source, and a door. thats it.

Greetings Tennek127! I was in process of looking for pointers for the Dragon Quest Builders game so as to help me understand things, such as where to find the map that others have talked about, and where to find all the "seeds" that help your HP to boost up. In watching your video here, i noticed that you said you were confused as to why you couldnt get points added to level your base. I have gotten up to level 3 before, just by adding a bunch of rooms and then putting different stuff in them like the chests and pots. And also, if you can change your floors and walls to different stone textures (if you keep doing a bunch of the quests, you will eventually get to learn more advanced stuff like creating straw flooring and stone flooring as well as walls out of stone.)you will definitely level up quick too. I noticed too, on the raised up room with the flag in it, you didnt have a door attached. If you tried attaching a door, and adding a light source (torch, or brazier, etc.) and a pot and chest, it may turn into a basic room for you that way. [I realize this video and others’ comments on here are a few months old, so I have tried resurrecting an older video, with my apologies, as you are probably now well advanced in the game even more than I am, LOL!] Take care, and greatest of luck in all your gaming endeavors, as well as in all you do! 🙂

This is absolutely not true. You can build rooms on the second story and they count. “The 2 block high” thing is referring to the wall height. Walls have to be 2 blocks high, it has to have a light source, and have a door. The reason his “base flag” room is giving nothing is because it has no door.

You can building higher and there are foundation cubes. If you go into “buildings/recipes” it will show you the required items needed to make a room. Gotta put a door and an interior light source for it to register as a room
