I don’t like the stair placement choice for Dave, it would have looked much nicer to have the stairs at the back that go out to either side on the way up. That way the lower floor is more open and the stairs aren’t right in your face as you come in. However he is still the clear winner. Even Rosie likes his house better lol. I do like the idea of the cozy little one person cottage Rosie was going for, but unfortunately i think it was a bit TOO small, and ended up just being crowded instead of cozy.

I’ve never played one of these builder games. I played Dragon Quest 11 last year and absolutely fell in love with everything about it. I might take a crack at this before Big Budget Game season starts up again in the Fall.

I would LOVE to see a new DQB2 creative challenge! This one was so much fun to watch and I want to see it again once they get more materials and an even better handle on controls for faster building.

Rosie won ACTUALLY. Because the contest was not for the biggest house. It is for the best house! Rosie’s house looked much more cozy and comfortable with the fire and table being very accessible. It also had personal touches like the scarecrow and sea shells to make it feel much more like home! Dave’s house on the other hand was a huge oddly shaped mass, with torches touching the ceiling awkwardly, and a big hole in the wall that’s supposed to be passed off as a window next to the bed! Don’t you think rain could get on your bed? A bird would fly in and lay eggs on you while you sleep. Dave’s house is bigger but it’s also uglier and the design makes no sense because of the torches touching the ceiling, odd hole near the bed, and the stairs even look ugly and weirdly shaped. So all in all, Rosie made a nice little comfy home and Dave made a big Lego fort that a 6 year old boy would make. Rosie wins clearly !

Symmetrical build is less important for houses because your not gonna have a kitchen or washroom on both sides of the home just the 1 side and usually close to or within sight of the front or back door

Just extend the design 1 block in 1 direction to make it more symmetrical
