I used gohan and and the character you choose at the start of the level, to protect goku and vegeta, just in case, thats how i got em to fuse

Fun fact: If you continue to make Gohan run away after a few turns, he gets teleported away to a safer, Buu-free location. That happened to me once and then I had Vegito vs. Gotenks Buu. Yeah….Buu didn’t last that long. :3
