Fighting alongside Trunks and other fan favourites you can revisit famous battles from the series thanks to the introduction of a new antagonist and new time travel element. I’ve got it on ps4 and honestly they could have done a much better job I would wait for a price drop if your looking to buy a copy because even as a die hard dbz fan I have a hard time supporting the games when it doesn’t capture that feeling of power and epicness like not having destructable environments is disappointing

This game was so over hyped. Its a lot of fun yes but for it being a next gen game its very limited. Open world is a total prompt. Nothing is real you cant even fly nor do any other action while in the open world. Also Ki charging is available but only as a skill instead of having a button for that. Also voices and sounds aren’t authentic. The custom character is the best part of the game and its core. So if you expecting an authentic dbz feel download BT3 instead. This is Xenoverse so its really nothing dragonball has ever seen. Also Ki blast are all the same, reminds me of those arcade space shooters where you shoot the same sequence of fireball but in this case you never run out…and all shoot in the same sequence so you can spam blast over and over and over again without losing ki. 7 out of 8 is too high. I cant see how people are satisfied with anything with all the great technology the open world could have had a lot more to do instead is a giant boring place. I give the game a 5 out of 8.

I love the game, although my teammates seem useless??? I paid for a teammate that was double my level (i was 15, he 30) and he had ssj2 powers, etc. He actually didnt use any of his good abilities and died first without killing anything a few times. how on earth can teammates be so useless, is there a fix for that??? on the 360 :p

It’s pretty. That’s it.
The rest of the gameplay is just trash. Combos are just dumb. Square x 5, Triangle x 3. That’s the definition of a button masher. You do that for every single attack. Maybe sometimes you mix in a special attack or a KI blast. That’s it.
Do you enjoy a game where the hardest boss is the camera? "Trying to fight a guy? Here, let me spin around inside this wall so you can’t see anything!"
Do you want to recreate the epic battles you’ve seen on TV? Remember that awesome scene where Goku flies at Vegeta, then stops 10 feet from him and starts punching the ground with his 8 button combo? Remember when you watched 30 hours of DBZ and all they did was the same boring 8 hit combo?
Ugh.
I wish I had tried this game before I bought it. This is just shit. 90% of it could be fixed if they would just come up with a better flying interface. 3D space games just don’t work. It’s been tried and tried and tried. No one wants to fight camera movement and targeting problems.
My recommendation: rent this game. It’s most definitely not worth $50, or even a used game price.

notice the most op combo in the early game is the launch combo
traingle and then mash square will launch your enemy and you teleport after him
doing the full 3 teleports will give you 3 ki bars enough to use your ultimate
so i just tend to spam this combo and spam ultimate
it even worked on frieza it does feels cheap and cheaty tough

I’ve logged about 30 hours into it, beat the campaign and done a few pvp matches, its a ton of fun to get into esp if your into DBZ but the combat is good enough to warrant fighting fans to get a hand on it. The major flaws are the english voice acting is terrible (i put it on japanese) some fights can be almost unfair 1v3 they just knock you out of combos, and the constant crashing of servers. They have said they will address the issue of server stability but who knows how long that might take, all in all id def give this a buy its a ton of fun.

I beat the main story line, and it was hard. Like Dark Souls is easy compared to some of the fights in this game. ie: The multiple Majin Buu fight, Beerus and Whis and the last fight. I did find training ( going off and doing side quests and learning new abilities) helped a little bit but not that much. I kinda found myself cheesing my way through some of the fights because there would be phases to a fight. I would get to a 4th phase in a fight and lose and have to do it all over again. That got annoying real fast.

Beat the game, reached max level, cleared the quests.. Best DB game ever tbh… The combat is fresh af along with a nice and new story.. I might actually try to platinum this man and buy the DLC. That’s how good this game is. The customization is very feasible. The difficulty of the game varies. It can be hard or easy depending on ur play style and skillset. There is so many to choose from and that’s how I found this game so awesome. I would compare this to destiny as a fighting version of it. It’s Freaken awesome man and its a must buy!!

To all the fanboys defending xenoverse. The fighting system is simple and garbage. For fools thinking BT3 combo system worse don’t make me laugh lol BT3 or others dbz games you can telport evade while blocking, do flips in any direction, deflect super attack, beam struggles, break guard than smash stomach afterwards, hit down for leg hitting , etc Xenoverse has none of this 41 characters than rest on disc DLC LMAO Also has terrible servers frieza cant transform from 1st to last no second or 3rd form same with Cell transformation no 1st and 2nd missing Majin vegeta and more. This game without character customization would put it slightly above Z that’s all. Even BoZ you could block evade and had more characters like cooler etc just no transformations. IMO Xenoverse is definitely trash i bought it rather play RB2 than this junk imagine RB3 with character customization? Funny how its a MMO yet you cant get on the servers online let alone play it offline by yourself without being kicked to main menu. lol Best DBZ my ass growup fanboys LMAO

I have a pretty crappy wifi connection. My laptop is able to handle this so I plan to get this. But one question, do you need wifi to play the story? My Internet connection is really bad so I’m going to hold off. I tried searching this up too with no results.
