Yet another great review.
Thanks for doing this one; _Dragon Ball Z: Budokai_ 2 & 3 were great but they were the last Dragon Ball games I enjoyed. I’ve been looking for a new one for years (I love the giant, over the top battles and powers) and based on what you’ve shown & talked about in this video _Xenoverse_ looks like a winner!

I completed this game and I am not satisfied.So I have some valuable suggestions.I am posting this because I believe that Dragon Ball games can be the future of next gen gaming.Yes,It can surely surpass Assassin’s Creed,The witcher,Metal Gear,Batman Arkham Knight and Far cry if it is made according to what I have posted below.
Firstly,Akira Toriyama and Bandai Namco should work together with Square Enix and Ubisoft.The main menu must be like that in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag or Assassin’s Creed Rogue.There should be story packs like Dragon Ball pack,DB Z pack,DB GT pack and DB Super pack.Updates to DB Super story can be given in the form of DLC’s.The game should have almost the same graphics as that in Batman Arkham Knight and also the characters should almost like those in the anime,not like any Japanese man or like those in the movie Dragon Ball Evolution.Include more Characters.There can be DB XV and Dragon Ball Heroes game pack in this game.Also there must be game packs of all 15 movies in this game.Each movie pack can be unlocked as the main story progresses.The game must be an open world game like GTA and Assassin’s Creed.This means the character can move freely to any place in the earth,train in Kai’s world or in Hyperbolic time chamber and also involve in real life activities(not bathing or sleeping).The fighiting area should not be limited as in DB XV,we should have the freedom to fight anywhere in the world.Not only the Earth,but the whole universe should be our fighting ground.Arcade section can be included.Also a saiyan can transform into any transformation (which he has achieved) during game play (unlike that in Dragon Ball Xenoverse where we can transform into only one or two types of super saiyans).Also our custom character should be able to transform SSGSS after hard training by themselves or training under Whis as in Dragon Ball Resurrection of F movie. RPG elements can be included(optional).The combat system should be more complex.The normal melee attacks should not be confined to just 4 or 5 combos and a single throw,it should be as complex as that in Tekken.Please do not miss a single trace of story in the anime in the game play.We want more hours of game play.It doesn’t matter if the game size exceeds 60 GB. We’ll manage.A character should be able to use more ki blast and other special attacks.There must be changes in movement and performance of characters on recieving heavy damage or injury(like lack of balance while walking).Power of attacks can vary according to character’s mental state(that is,more powerful attacks when angry).We can challenge other fighters like Vegeta when we are not in a mission.Please release the English version of the game.There must be minor changes when we retry the mission after losing it one time.The game must be challenging.We must be able to attack multiple targets simultaneously .Broly should be able to transform from normal to super saiyan and super saiyan at full power and Ma Jin Buu should be able to absorb other players.Please avoid health capsules in main story and include Senzu beans(capsules are permissible in Dragon Ball Xenoverse game pack.Lastly the game must be available for PC.
So these are my suggestions for a better Dragon Ball game.Please convey my suggestions to the concerned authorities such that they can start the production of this futuristic game of Dragon Ball.

Huge fan of DB, for me its legendary and no other anime or cartoon are going to replace it. But….. There’s just something wrong with the game….. Graphics, sounds, colors, etc…. Her’s a little example, when you pick a hair style like trunks’s and you transform…. Surprise!! The hair doesn’t budge…. I know its a small detail, but come on, it’s important, and we’re in the new gen consoles….
Anyway… I wish they did some kind of fusion with Budukai and Fall out 3 lol

I bought this game for the fighting and I was truly disappointed. The fighting engine is horrible and very limiting, almost as much as battle of Z. I erased this game after one day. If you’re buying this game for the fighting, you will be disappointed.

after much debate and watching reviews, I picked it up yesterday, only 2 hours in, I gotta say..it’s a fun game and feels totally different compared to the old ones from PS3 and PS2 era that could never get my attention, don’t regret the purchase at all, I’m 31 years old and this game is already pulling me back into DBZ in a good way 😉 great review btw!

The first thing I’d do in this game after creating my bearded beauty super sayan, is fight Great Ape Vegeta (Giant Space Monkey) in the crotch and ass. I know, I know…I’m immature and gay but hey sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Interested in seeing you do XV2.
I bought it and refunded it already. Everything feels worse than the first game, except combat. Graphics got a downgrade, voices got even worse. Lip-Syncing no longer exists.
And all the missions are identical to the first.

Didn’t liked the fighting system. There is something off with it. Tenkaichi 2 and 3 was better. And why the hell do you not get a menu to vs and other modes? Stupid developers.

First dbz game I’ve bought since budokai 2, over 10 years ago. Its a blast got the game and season pass for 21 bucks and have put probably 50 hours into it in 6 months! If your a dbz fan or just want a fighter/adventure/mmo with a dash of RPG then buy this game its a lot of fun. Can’t wait to try the second one sometime in the future

The PC version looks much better. 1080p 60fps and it never drops below 60fps. Plus an Xbox controller can be used with the game. I’m really liking this game. Its an RPG/Arcade game. There’s a level up system, were you can level up your own custom characters. This game is awesome. I’ve had no bugs, nor game crashes, so far everythings perfect. Also I got the game for like $25 off steam, which I think is a steal.

Just picked up the collectors edition with the trunks statue for 38 euro and I was buying it because I wanted to get the badass statue but now I am hyped to play the game. It’s been too long since I played a DBZ game. Thanks for the review.

just got it today for Xbox one. After much debate, and despite the bad reviews, Ive decided I love this game.
I was nervous at first because I was a fan of the Budokai series and I knew that this was NOT going to be it lol.
