Well, one of the reasons of the similarities between Mamoru Hosoda’s work and FLCL is that is the same Chara-designer who work on it (Yoshiyuki SADAMOTO if I remember correctly) … He also did the characters of evangelion, and the manga adaptation of the same licence. I think he did a amazing job !

Considering how I love the show, I’m embarrassed to admit that the only reason I finished this show my first time around, was cause of the soundtrack.

FLCL is an amazing ride and that is why I can’t get enough of it. I’ve watched it every year for the past 7 years… give or take. It never gets old.

Extremely well put. Other reviewers and viewers actually suggested there may not be a plot when a lot of it is explained during the show.
