Classic Game Room – DRAGON BALL Z BUDOKAI review for PS2
NNNgggggAAAhhhhhhNNNNGGRRR!!!!! Dragon Ball Z Budokai review. Classic Game Room reviews DRAGON BALL Z BUDOKAI for PlayStation 2 from Dimps, Atari and Funimation! This Dragon Ball Z fighting game is aimed squarely at Dragonball Z fans looking to pummel characters from the TV in a fighting game with a storyline mode, vs. mode, tournament and more! Unlock more than 20 characters in this explosive fighter with solid controls and pick-up-and-play action. Repetitive button combos and generic gameplay may make this fighting game a bust for some, but fans of Dragon Ball Z will love the high production values and anime cut scenes that drive the storyline, as well as playable gameplay that fills the screen with explosions and screaming. CGR Dragonball Z Budokai video review has gameplay from Dragon Ball Z: Budokai on PS2 (also available for Nintendo GameCube)

Couldnt agree more, i still play BD3 until this day…the only thing i didnt like in this game was the english voices…Japanese voices would make this game more official imo

One of my all time favorite DBZ and just plain favorite fighting games of all time the Budokai series and the B1 did a great job laying down the foundation for the future installments.

Goku is in NO WAY voiced by an elderly woman!! He’s voiced by Sean Schemmel, a man with an respectively high voice. Go to dbz wiki or behind the voice actors, idiots! Also try Wikipedia and search Goku or Sean Schemmel for more info on this character and voice actor if you’re that clueless! Lol

this game was what brought me in to dbz, it was really amazing, the storymode pulls oyu in and you feel like you are in the story itself, you get to like chaacters, and that last scene there, sometimes hatred makes its way and you use that hatred to get through a tough level.

The fact that this game has Power Weighted Cell, Full Power Frieza and Super Vegeta and Super Trunks as transformations is why it’s my favorite

Okay, first of all, the DBZ wikia is a terrible source for accurate information. Always. Second of all, in the japanese version, goku is in fact voiced by Masako Nozawa, who is, at this point in time, an elderly woman. I’m not going to go into a whole dub vs sub debate here, but if you’re going to insult someone, do the proper research first.

The best one for PS2 (and for any other console to be fair) DBZ game is Budokai Tenkaichi 3 ^^

I just picked this game up in ps3 budokai hd collection and I found that the focus in combos in this game is much higher than it is in the third game where special moves are more impressive and easier to do, but the story mode in this one is better with the cutscenes

Tenaichi 3 is the best Dbz game or Budokai 3

My best trick ever :
1. play as Captain Ginyu
2. let the opponent hits you until near death.
3. do the swap body trick
4. and then hit Ginyu with the simpliest way while you play as opponent’s body.
5. enjoy laughing at your friend

This game was fun on the PS2. I liked this game a lot better than Budokai 2, 3, and the later DBZ games.
