8 Months since my last review and THIS was the most requested of the various Anime I have seen, the other requests were for series neither my wife nor I have seen — I don’t have time to watch anything new at this time, so I decided to give into internet peer pressure and review this anyway. I was going to WAIT until the Underworld Arc had come out so I could review that and say “Hey, it isn’t all bad.” Ahahahaha! Oh well.
CORRECTION: The game is a PSP game called Sword Art Online Infinity Moment, it was never fully translated into english, although the combat menues and such have gotten an unoffical english patch online. The sequel to Infinity Moment is GOOD, but takes place after SAO.

This would be done better if you could actually get the characterization and their motivations correct in the first place. Also, killing a person to show their badass is really fail as a reasoning.

This by far the best video topic about SAO. Far better than every Anime Youtubers and "Influencers" try to talk about SAO. Still don’t know people liked SAO despited its flaws and I wonder what’s the Japanese people opinion about SAO both LN and Anime. Can’t find sources about it
I watch SAO out of curiousity. And I agree it has potential but very dissapointed to watch. Then I went to local Anime cafe(which sadly gone) and I read the LN and oh dear I see some differences with alot of stuff cut out. Clearly A1 Pictures didn’t really follow the LN. Should I blame Reki Kawahara for his writing, A1 Pic. for making a very flawed Anime or both.
How’s the SAO today, I stopped watching SAO anime after Calibur arc episode(I only stopped after GGO. Then I was "forced" to watch it again not my choice, no thx my idiot friend). What’s your opinion about Alternative GGO, it was written by a different author? And finally what Anime do you personally watch?

I think the only anime where the protag is shallow that’s good is Fist of the North Star, but mainly because you don’t watch it for the plot as much as you do the senseless bloodshed and hilarious ATATATATATATA sounds

The primary issues with it in my opinion are that the pacing is just awful, and after episode 14 (the end of the Sword Art Online arc) it simply isn’t very good anymore.
Edit: I don’t think the bit where they get married and go to the woods for a few days was entirely out of character. Bare in mind that at that point they’d been trapped in the game for 2 years and for the entire time they’d basically been fighting alongside the Assault Team to beat the bosses. Kirito and Asuna taking some time out together wasn’t entirely out of character, and played into the theme of what a virtual society of this sort would look like where despite the circumstances people are still living lives. But the Yui shit was completely dumb.

I love sao. And accel world is also pretty good. Both series even got a crossover game. Also, I got the pc port of the first sao game as a reward for preordering sao fatal bullet

for everyone who watched sword art online i sorry to say that i just skipped to the last episode because from my personal scale to can and even i just can’t. sword art online failed to meet my standards of what this anime’s potential could have extended to and flopped everytime i got my expectations up. after the first sword art online the animated series i refused to watch the second one and instead read the books and vowed to never associate myself with another sword or branching series ever again. the write literally destroyed my excitement towards future spin of this specific series do to the fact it closely resembles *cough* *cough* Hack // Root. while the second one was just putting guns in the series so with out a futher adeu Lord Zhakaron put it perfectly. ANIME GARBAGE good day all. and i’ll be awaiting for you next video zaric. ^_^

I wanted to know your opinion of what they decided to have happen to Yuuki. I understand that they made the characters have a limited life and all but the way they explained it I did not care for. It was a disease you think would be cured by that future time. So more anime BS?

it is so good hearing someone with a brain talk about anime. You should make ‘anime bullshit bingo’. heres some ideas:
– Needless boob jiggle
– Panty shot / upskirt
– multiple vaccuous females fight over protagonist
– normal everyday dark haired teenage boy protagonist to appeal to that demo
– The creator shows in some way that they really dont care/ havent thought about the story as much as the average fan
-The story has been extended past where it was originally supposed to end because money
– The opening is better than the show
– female characters are so shit and sexistly written

I enjoyed SAO, but I do see why people criticize it. Also you may say that the final part of the Mothers Rosario arc was better in the novel, but I still cried hard watching Yuukis death and all the players coming to see her off was very emotional.

I think SAO is better used for teens. I myself watched SAO firstly because several of my peers recommended it. And I was able to relate with some of the emotional problems the show brought up, as puberty was giving me a smack-down when I first watched it. Mother’s Rosario especially hit home for me. I may be a fool for putting this on the internet, but I still haven’t fully finished the last episode of that final arc, because I teared up during the funeral and closed my browser. Yep. I cried. I’m human, live with it.
