I think the winning theory is that of the loop, if you repair the names of the movies they tell a riddle:
1.11 You are (not) alone
2.22 You can (not) advance
3.33 You can (not) redo
In the first part of Rebuild the titles may look like this:
1.11 You are not alone
2.22 You can not advance
3.33 You can not redo
But after 3.0 + 1.0, if you put this in loop theory the titles read otherwise give strength to the theory that there will be a turn, they look like this:
1.11 You are alone (For Shinji’s awareness of the "future" will be in the body of the past with his memories already lived in the future, so he is somehow alone).
2.22 You can advance (because with the information that he has can change some facts).
3.33 You can redo (change the future, thus breaking the loop, paving the way for new facts).
More or less what I think.

Unpopular opinion, but I prefer the rebuilds. Rei and Shinji’s relationship is a lot more fleshed out and rei in general actually has character development. I enjoyed 2.0 more than the OG series and EofE.
The issue most people have is that “it’s not the same eva I grew up with” no shit. Anno isn’t the same guy who made the show. He’s grown up and experienced his own changes and evolution. It’s a different experience for a different generation. Stop comparing them.
Finished 3.0 yesterday and it’s a complete departure from anything Eva’s ever done. It’s different, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The updated art style and animation is just gorgeous. My only complaint is what they did with rei in 3.0 and it kinda cheapens the sacrifices in 2.0… but there’s signs that she may start remembering things so that’s cool. Kaworou was a lot more fleshed out here too, seeing mature asuka was also cool. Time skip was… odd, but I still enjoyed it. 8/10
