How does lua frontend attach these mods to the game? It’s just sitting on your desktop, there’s no indication that it knows where the game files are. I’m trying to install a mod with lua frontend although it was intended to be used with lua backend, I get the green check mark but mod isn’t working in the game. Wondering if I’m missing a step in telling lua where the files are or if this mod is just incompatible with frontend.

Do you know if there’s a way to mod in the debug mode for KH2 that was ripped from the 2.5 demo kiosk
I know there are ways to get that running while emulating the game in RPCS3 but I can’t find any mods online for the menu

hi, I installed the mod (refightable bosses) but when I press R2 when entering a new room (for laexus or for sephiroth for example) its not working neither twilight town, nor radiant garden, can you help me ?

I followed the instructions in this video to attempt at applying a Japanese VO patch for KH Recom but when hitting "apply patch," the patch is stuck on "applying" and I get an error after about 10 minutes

EDIT 5/20: I’m sorry I haven’t made the updated video yet. I move in a few weeks from now and haven’t been able to get around to it. As soon as I’m moved in (June 15th), have internet set up and all that, when I get back into video making this will be the very first thing I do. And for what it’s worth, the patch mods I explained in this video still work exactly the same, it’s just lua mods that are different.

I cant get any to work. I use a KHPCpatcher but when I use it, find my en folder for bbs it says path doesnt exist.
Seems weird as the files inside of 2.8 en folder contain kh3d files. Truly frustrating as I’d love to mod these games for current pc standards

I know this video is a little dated so I’m not expecting a quick reply but does anyone know where to find the actual Randomizer to put in LuaFrontend? I have my seed converted to a lua file and the Garden of Assemblage mod for PC but idk if that’s all I need to make this method work of if I should have something else… Other videos and the google doc say to use LuaBackend, but when I tried to go through a tutorial using it, it wouldn’t work no matter what I did or how much I researched. I’m really at a loss here, and I’m going to be very disappointed if I bought this version of the game again for nothing. Any help at all is appreciated, thanks!

For some reason whenever I tried to apply a patch using the PatchManager, it doesnโt ask for the folder to apply the patch to. What should I do?

curious…you say the lua front end isnt available…. can you just copy your version of it and put it on google drive?? so we can get it? cause i just searched everywhere for it and ya…i wanna skip the roxas beginning in kh2 …i accidentally deleted my save and i dont wanna deal with it again lol

So i tried installing a mod (for the original OST) using version 1.4 and it never asked me to assign a directory. Mod didn’t work and crashed my game. do you know how I can make it work?

LuaFrontend Error #404: folder not found!

So I don’t have luafrontend, I only downloaded the most recent lua mod, 1.3 hook. I extracted that and I put it in my kh1.5 folder, and then made a folder inside of that folder called scripts, then inside of that folder called kh1, and put the mods into there. however, they aren’t working in game. do i have to have front end?

okay forreal, I think the Patch Manager is fucking gaslighting me
when I hit Apply Patch, it never asks for the game install folder, it just starts extracting and applying the patch despite not being in the folder where the game is

For me when I’m doing this, when I apply patch (2:00), it doesn’t give me an option to find the game it just…applys the patch? But when I load up the game it doesn’t work?.
I’m on the 1.2.0 version of this btw

I do hope the modders turn their gaze to these games. The quality of life mods alone would be amazing.
