You need to understand that before misa got her death note, she was supposed to die by getting killed by her stalker. But since a shinigami fell in love with her and prevented her fatefull death from happening, he killed himself and his entire lifespan was added to hers. Shinigami prolong their lifespans by killing people prior to their planned deaths, therefore adding these humans lifespans to their own. There’s no way of telling how long the shinigamis remaining lifespans are, they probably don’t even know themselves anymore, but it’s safe to assume that it’s quite some time. When misa got then her notebook she halfed whatever lifespan she got from gelus (or jealous, not sure how you spell the original shinigamis name, who was the previous owner of misas notebook). And then later on she halfed that lifespan again. But as you know by now, rem sacrificed herself for misas sake and therefore died and her entire remaining lifespan was added to misa again. In my personal opinion, since again, noone could really tell just how much time each of these shinigamis has left, it must be a couple of hundred years, which halfed is not much of a loss compared to normal human lifespans.

The eye deal halves your remaining life not your total life. So for easier math if she was 20 and was going to live to 100, it would have been halved from 80 more years to 40 and then halved again to 20 more years. So she could still have some time left.
