better tip, dont build a wall, build a mote filled with spikes, the monsters who attack your town before you have access to spikes, are easily killed and once you have access it to spike building a 2 block thick mote just outside the border of your town filled with spikes with a bridge over it for yourself with a door blocking monsters from coming in that way, is an easy way to keep your town safe the only monsters who wont die from the mote are ghosts but once they fall in they are trapped and will disappear at morning, also if you want to gather the resources dropped from mobs who do die down in your mote build a small staircase out of the mote in the direction of going further out away from town, dont want them finding their way to this and going into your town via it

#2 is useful very early game but after 2 hours of playing you will make the coffer which is kinda hard to explain how it works but it basically makes #2 useless.

I played for 3 and a half hours the first day I got this game and didn’t know there was no auto save. Lost all of those hours.:)
