The reason why light lost is because near got too much help. Light was originally going to win and kill L but the devs wanted more so the creator wrote more.

5 is not true, this girl ain’t misa, remember she gave up death note and lost her shinigami eyes ? But in final scene she can see names and lifespans of people. There is two options ; Its a plot hole or this girl isn’t Misa.

It seems to me that L was meant to be an equally intelligent opposite of Light. Light is charismatic, almost sociopathic, and attractive to easily persuade with delusions of godlike status. While L is awkward, weird, logical, with a clumsy syntax, and knows his limits.
