I feel like this could have been different if shinkawa (idk lmao) wasnt crazy and didnt try to rape carne asada and instead had to deal with his older brother being a killer and develop a relationship with carne i feel like it would have been greatly different and even better for the inclusion of a set of characters that dont want to fuck kirito

I actually enjoyed the bit after GunGale set in Alfheim, simply because it drops a lot of the huge shonen battle stakes in exchange for the gang dicking around in an MMO, something a believable group of friends would really do. It sort of encourages you to stop taking it as seriously as it’s been making you take it up until now.

What if there was an anime (or show) where a small group of people are kidnapped and locked in small isolated rooms with the only thing to do is a pc with no access to the internet etc. and only with a multiplayer game (Maybe an mmo but probably a private server) which, after finding eachother they use the game to communicate to eachother as they try to figure out why they’re here, what they have in common and who could’ve kidnapped them and how they can escape.
Probably a shit idea but i think it sounds cool

Someone sneaking drugs out of a hosptial to commit crimes actually happened to my family. According to the police, the guy was a nurse and had been sneaking out sedative drugs and was stalking people in my neighborhood including my family. Luckily he was arrested and imprisoned before he used the drugs on anyone but, horribly enough, that sort of thing can still happen today even with hosptial protocol.

Yup, this definitely shows that SAO has *no logic whatsoever, has a really bad game design, has 75% fan service (Boobs and butts)* but damn it can make you feel emotions. At least this is what’s good in this anime.

At the end when the interview of Kawahara is rolling, he is SO nervous. He’s blinking SUPER hard, looking around and fiddling a little bit. It’s obvious he’s aware of how wonky the series is. I feel bad for him, because I’m pretty sure if he sat down and put more thought and effort into it, SAO could’ve been better even if it was only a little bit.

This video may be 3 and a half years old, but I have to plug CrossCode.
It’s hard for me to describe without comparing it to SAO, which feels like too much of a disservice, or spoiling.
What I can say is that rather than an anime or novel, it’s an actual RPG with fun combat while still giving a compelling story. For example, your character hits level 4 at the end of the tutorial dungeon and one of the characters immediately calls you out for hacking because you got an extra level earlier than you’re supposed to. Rather than attempt to translate MMORPG tropes to a non-interactive medium, it insteads pokes fun at them and even integrates them into the plot while still presenting them in their native medium.
