I’ve had enough with the Boruto team, ino chica cho team or their parents for that matter. Team 7 and Ino chica cho team had more than enough screen time in Naruto. They should give other characters chance.

Boruto has that whole relationship with his father and the fact that he’s the Hokage’s son which is what makes his life different then your average shinobi
Sarada also has a particular relationship with her Father like Boruto that, again, helps push for development and she also wants to become Hokage.
Mitsuki deals with the fact that he had issues determining what his goal or purpose in life was, is the bio-engineered son of Orochimaru and since there are many more of him to be produced in time he may eventually struggle with feeling unique and not like a disposable being, it’s like eventually he will have to figure what sets him apart that keeps him from effectively just being another OP shadow clone.
Now, it’s quite understandable that these three have more potential for character development since these are basically the three main characters, but other characters still get more development.
Metal Lee has severe anxiety and has to train to overcome it, in fact he still has issues with it and it will be a long standing characteristic of him that will support growth even as a supporting character, Shikadai doesn’t have THAT much going for him on potential for growth, but in combat and other cases he’s proven himself quite useful and a nice addition to Boruto and his friends, and his intelligence means the writers can get more creative with how he can be applied to combat, unlike Cho Cho who is basically just “Hulk Smash, lemme get big so I can take this Attack.” So really the only potential for growth with Shikadai is that he is Boruto’s friend, and the same should be true for Cho Cho since she is Sarada’s friend. But this really isn’t as much of a case and her character isn’t doing enough to truly put herself out there. I really hope they do more with Cho Cho. In fact I think it would be super easy to adopt a sort of laid back mindset like Boruto’s, then realize that being lazy is putting her behind her friends who are working hard, and she would get an incentive to work even harder then her friends. She would find a balance between eating potato chips and living a lax life (which isn’t always bad) and working hard in order to live that lax lifestyle. It’s a pretty cliche idea actually and not uncommon to see at all in anime, but it would work nice for her.
