after watching about 4 episodes, it lost nearly all sense of suspense since nearly every episode he’s facing overwhelming odds and he wins every time with very little casualties. Not to mention that huge battles last 3/4 of an episode at most and character development is nearly non existent for side characters.

I liked your video on this, you gave a very well put neutral & unbiased opinion on this. Well to some degree this might be light novel generic trash, but I am going to give this series a chance to see what it does with itself. Because I heard this series is pretty good although that could be the Light Novels.

"If you value characters over settings, this is not the best episode for you." Truer words were never spoken. Honestly in a medium where bland protagonists are intentionally created so the viewer/reader could place themselves in the story, this guy is the blandest piece of white bread I’ve seen in a while. I actually wished he would whine a bit. Literally twice he "meta" mentions how he is just being used.Also as far as the skimpy outfit, I appreciated she mentions that the original lord she was going to work for insisted she wear that outfit. What I don’t get is why does she continue to wear it after she goes for blank slate protagonist?
