The play with the references with real copyrighted names is a perfect example of how teenagers think. They’ll make a play at school they copy their favorite series/movies/anime etc.
Today should be tons of school plays copying the Marvel movies and to see Kouhei can understand that is very nice.

One of the small things I like about Horikoshi’s writing is that he includes these events that don’t really contribute to the plot all that much but it makes the readers bond with the characters. When readers bond with characters through these happy moments, it makes the sad moments a lot more sadder since we got to know them and now we’re losing them so Horikoshi is basically putting us into the world like literally. It’s as if we actually know these characters because he includes all these small details that makes their character them like how Aizawa tried buying Eri that cat outfit and how Tokoyami and Eri may get a chance in the future to eat apples together and bond without actually going through anything emotional. That’s one of the purest parts of Horikoshi’s writing it’s that the characters don’t need to cry together to feel connected and bond but it’s these small happy moments that pull them together. Like the friendship between Bakugou and Kirishima (and maybe more). They didn’t become friends after that scene where Kirishima saves him (THEY’RE SO ADORABLE) but they were close friends even before this arc and their friendship developed after spending time together and having small moments dedicated to them for it to blow over and really show how close they were and how much they prioritize their friendship. _-(One of the reasons why I ship this)-_

But anyway, Horikoshi’s writing is so unique and amazing and I love his style. I look forward to more bnha content both manga and anime and more of these small scenes/arcs that develop our characters slowly little by little and through everyday moments not through epic fights and whatsoever.
