   If this season was actually a Yaoi or a shonan-ai and we discovered that Kirito was actually Bi than it will make the season even better… don’t ask me why, it will just be better LOL

   The sword skills he uses here are all common SAO era skills.He can use them because he remembers the movement positions to start them. Once it activates, it will just make his body follow the movements. Therefore once he gets two swords, he can technically recreate Starburst Stream and The Eclipse (The one he used on Heathcliff and broke his other blade in the process.)

   I’m actually extremely happy with how this season is turning out. The first few episodes I felt were too exposition-y for my tastes, especially Episode 2, but this is currently the highlight so far. And I completely agree with Kirito sometimes taking the sidelines for Eugeo’s growth.

   Its clear that Kirito is in unknown territory with this, as he still thought this was some sort of game, with the whole System thing from last episode. But his entire perception of Underworld was turned on its head once he felt the pain of the Goblin Lord’s swing, showing that for him that this was not a game and the stakes were real. This completely terrified him, probably giving him small flashback to the stakes in Aincrad, leading to that freakout that nearly got him killed and once again showing a sign of weakness inside the supposed "Jesus-kun".

   Its this moment where Eugeo steps in, and I loved how they handled it. How he is reminded so heavily of Alice and how helpless that situation was, and is what pushes him to not only try and save Kirito here, but to push his new goals later in the episode. And although Kirito does eventually save the day, its most likely through a mix of adrenaline and willpower that he somehow manages to beat him, and Eugeo actually almost dies as well.

   And thats what I actually like so far about this season, there is actually a sense of stakes. While I find the way he was put in the coma to be slightly stupid, we honestly don’t know if Kirito would die if he is killed here, and Eugeo’s death is also completely possible. Its exciting to bring back such stakes and having them both actually have to fight for their lives unlike in previous season where Kirito is naturally just OP due to stats or whatever.

   And Eugeo’s aspirations are kinda basic, but still really interesting. He has been waiting for 6 years to try and get Alice back and has always wanted to get this task done. But he has been shackled almost completely by the Gigas Cedar. We’ve seen small glimpses of his desires but he usually tried to supress it in when around Kirito. Now that he has the chance to actually save her, since he can now cut down the tree and does, he lets all that desire out to both Kirito and Selka without restraint.

   Really looking forward to how this season is panning out and I hope it stays the way it is going and doesn’t get ruined by Reki BS.

    While there were a few changes from the LN (I read up to the end of the Goblin fight) this was still Great and I can’t wait for episode 5
