    So the plot of the movie was a guy who worked on the game and taught the past villains is trying to remake his daughter using a copy and is stealing memories of her from the players from SAO using this world changing device and a game instead of just copying their memories because it gives them an amnesia of the hostage event which is totally bad, of course, and Asuna gets killed and affected and now Kirito has to play to get em back and commit to the relationship of Asuna by ringing her while also getting over the fact he doesn’t like the new tech because he actually has to be physically fit in order to play it and be god.

    I watched the original movie then the uncensored the next 20 days xD….. Fucking, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines censored the Asuna bath scene then i search on youtube for it but there’s none so, i watched it again xD… Now i have the side novel as well

    I think it fixes a lot of the problems people have with the main series I loved the movie it was insanely pretty and the story was well flushed out it didn’t seem rushed the writing could have been better , but everything made sense.

    just already finished all anime episodes.
    it’s kinda hard to choose which one is better between S1 or S2.
    S1 basically focused on dead-or-alive-fighting-action and S2 less with it but lot more emotions

    i am waiting the BD of the movie. when it does release??

    just finished watch it, imo this movie is pretty good but not the very best. the story lil bit flat for me but the pacing is good. the highlight of this movie obviously is the 6 minutes vs 100th ranked boss. i found few plot hole but still acceptable. this movie is great as ‘intermezzo’ for SAO S3 in the future.
    B+ for me

    I really liked the movie, even though there were alot of call backs to Sao 2 which i didnt watch, i loved the fact that it made the death game a big plot point of the story. afteral i still think Sao Aincrad is the best and it should have ended after that Arc.

    Foxen Anime Sword Art Online is an Awesome Anime and Movie. My friend Hunter used to hate Anime. I showed him Sword Art Online. Now he is able to get into Anime more cause of SAO. And Cause of Persona 4 the Animation as well. :3

    The final boss fight against the floor 100 boss was the best thing I’ve ever seen in my life. It was like a real raid boss with mechanics and everything.

    Late to the party but as a huge SAO fan I just had to wait to see the movie how I wanted to truly see it for the first time, so with no theaters near me playing it, had to wait for the bluray dub version to ship, and definitely no regrets. Watched it as soon as the mailman came. I thought it was amazing and I hope it will re-spark some SAO love to hopefully get a push to speed up production. I am excited for season three however, I really can’t wait for Reki to really dive into his progressive reboot. Read the officially translated LNs and it is simply amazing. Hoping SAO lives long enough for that arc to really develop and hopefully be anime adapted.

    The best scene in movie is the last fight against boss on floor 100. That is so awesome, the music in background, the fight itself and that little detail of Asuna and Yuuki that was so emotional and….. idk i have no comment rly. SAO4LIFE

    SPOILER-TEXT!!!! I loved Ordinal Scale! Though it was a bit shocking seeing Kirito in so much white! xD But I loved that later on he got back his SAO looks! And of course the last fighting scene where Kirito has this really over-powered sword!But one thing I don’t understand: When Kirito discovered who Heathcliff was in the first series, Kayaba said he would be the final boss awaiting them on floor 100. But in Ordinal Scale they fought the boss of floor 100 and it wasn’t Kayaba but this really strong … whatever, I forgott the name. So of course you could say that just once this boss was defeated they wouldn’t be logged out but still have to win against Kayaba or that the monster was the boss of the beta-version of SAO and when Kayaba changed a few things like that the people weren’t able to log out, he changed the final boss. But I missed that there was a better explanation of this happening as these were just theories of mine.Another thing that bugged me was … what about that sword Kirito used at the end. The one that was really over-powered. Did he get that as an last attack bonus from the 100th floor boss? Because that doesn’t make sense as when the game was beaten they wouldn’t need the sword anymore, now would they? And he couldn’t have gotten it because he was ranked first in Ordinal Scale as he got the sword when he fought the boss and was ranked first only afterwards, when he defeated this death-monster Yuna fought against. Does anyone has an explanation there?
