Kasuto Kitigia is a 16 year old boy that logged on to a new virtual game and met Klein, all the players got trapped inside, they can only be freed if they make it to the 100th level. His online name is Kirito. He and Asuna meet and join forces to defeat the bosses, lots of stuff happenes but I’m getting too far into detail, when you are killed in the game you die in real life, if someone say a family member takes off your virtual helmet a chip planted in your head with dry your brain and make your head explode, so yep, I really like this anime :>

sao is a vrmmorpg game (Virtual Reality Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game) theres this thing called nervegear, you put it on your head and you say linkstart, then you get into the game. Whenever you move your body in the game it doesn’t move your body in real life because your in a virtual world meaning anything you do doesn’t affect you irl. There was uaually a logout button but the creator removed it, he said the only way you can escape from the virtual world is to complete all 100 floors, and if anyone tries to take your nervegear off irl or if you die in the game, you die irl because the nervegear will fry your brain.

It’s a VR game but when they die they will die in the real world too so they have to finish 100 floors with bosses and Gleam eye is one of the bosses in 50th+ floor I’m not sure and they are just there to clear the dungeon but something happened and they fought the gleamed eyes by themselves and they have to fight to live
