Honestly, I liked the first 14 episodes of SAO. It is my 2nd favorite anime next to Attack on Titan because of the episodes 1-14. But I agree, the next episodes all sucked. The second game they were in was a shit game itself, the main character became a pussy, the main villain was like a comedy villain, Asuna was no longer a badass sidekick to the badass main character but the princess Kirito had to save, FUCKING INCEST, other players were talking like they were actually the characters they were playing and not other players, so much other shit. And don’t even get me started on Sword Art Online II! SAO should’ve stopped at episode 14.

Maybe you should see Mother’s Basement videos about Sword Art Online analysis and why it doesn’t work with many opportunities. For my opinion, it was okay, I guess.

SAO is something you can enjoy with if one of these requirements are met.
–
1. You are new to anime.
To people who are new to anime, they don’t think about allot of things that irritate us. Especially all the fucking clichés.
–
2. You turn your brain off.
This might seem like hate, but let me elaborate. SAO can be a good anime if you don’t think about allot of shit that doesn’t make sense, and again, many of the things that bug people who try to listen intently to these kind of things.
–
I personally enjoyed it as it was one of my first anime, and although I didn’t watch any more anime for quite some time, I believe I don’t like it anymore simply because I have watched better anime. I do not recommend it to anyone who likes to pay close attention, so most fans of anime like Higurashi probably wont want to watch it.

This anime is just awesome and yeah i completely agree with you the anime didn’t have much information on the characters ..i really wanted to know what happened next and its kinda weird like yui will stay in that device forever ..mm like seriously ..what ever i love yui ..she is like cutie ..i wanna pinch her cheeks ?..and yeah i hate leafa i mean suguha ..i mean who loves her brother ??. Anyways its worth watching and i liked kirito and asuna’s relationship and the thing which made me laugh was KIRITO AND GIRLS ?

THIS ANIME would probably be one of my favourites if it was an anime a bit shorter than naruto (not including shippuden) so pacing can go better, and not just that, BUT GOING THROUGH ALL THE 100 FLOORS, and he should get some male friends as well

I have to admit SAO I was pretty garbage because of the awful pacing and incest but in my opinion SAO II was a major improvement because of dealing with real issues like PTSD and AIDS

Fascinating to see you liked it. I’m going step off the SAO hate train and tell you what I thought when I first watched it.
This show really lost steam after the point where premise was laid out. And contrary to you, all of the deaths felt either largely insignificant (like that first girl in a guild Kirito joined for no reason), stupid (like that guy who wouldn’t drink the health potion), or both.The main plot switches out of focus between episodes. I didn’t get very far in the series because it lost my interest, but only later would I discover what Digibro had done to tear SAO a new anus, and never went back to it.
