Openings are really good. The show is ok. I enjoyed the 1st season of Alicization a lot, but that’s it. I can see where the story is going, and I’m not linking it. Wathever, good openings, good animation

Yea the Alitization arc anime has soo much love and thought put into it. The visuals are soo godly. The story is also pretty nice.

Opening 8 is the first opening for the mobile game SAO Alicization Rising Steel. It is a game that focuses on the story within Alicization with the addition of game exclusive character Eydis, the silver haired knight that was battling Eugeo (The blonde guy with Kirito). It also has timed events that go further in depth for those that want to learn more about what happens away from the camera of the anime as well as continues into events after the anime. Sadly they were timed events so most of that stuff is limited to watching from archived footage or reading what other players have written, but the game is constantly adding to the story.

Personally the best season to me is the first season of War of Underworld because having minimal Kirito screentime just makes it better without their plot device being on the front lines. Alicization was a slight step up but the author just doesn’t know how to not use the same disgusting tropes over and over again or build up any proper tension. The hype I had for War of Underworld Season 2 was ruined in the first episode so that was neat.
However I do love Adamas, Register, and Anima though. Such good openings. Crossing Field is such a mediocre Lisa to me though.

SAO was super inconsistent. Parts of it were terrible. Parts were decent. S3 was a big step up! S4 was also good, but I don’t think it ended great.

Got to say, OP4 actually was featuring side stories, one half being a regular major event quest, and the other one was more realistic with Asuna’s and Yuuki’s troubles. Both still tie in as major arcs as Asuna and Kirito gained pretty significant power ups in skills and equipment.

Basically from the start of Alicization, Kirito was attacked IRL, which ultimately gave him brain damage, and then he was put into a virtual universe to help himself recover.

Man, SAO is great. It gets some hate, some love-but for sure was the gateway anime for many and a classic. I enjoyed every season, and this video was great! Keep up the good work 👍

Same artist did the openings for the Phantom Bullet arc of the main series and for SAO Alternative: Gun Gale Online spinoff series – Eir Aoi. Probably has something to do why both songs carry a similar weight.

SAO is one of my favorites. In my opinion,After you get through 2nd Arc, Everything Else is good 😊 Mother Rosario is also very good.
