RIP Blonde-Kirito/Lolice/Umus/Chudlecuck/Silver-Asuna, the irony behind Code 871 is that the Original ancestor of Quinella was the one who implemented it into the code, though I’m not sure how the conversation between Yanai and Quinella will be depicted in the 2nd cour of Alicizaiton. Though it strikes almost too convenient between the fall of Quinella and the Ocean Turtle raid, almost if it signaled the time to raid.

The 21st episode was a blast seeing the outcome of the last episodes cliffhanger and seeing Eugeo finally breaking out of the admins controls was a fantastic moment and seeing the trio finally meet after 20 episodes of waiting was a nice pay off. I guess the clown needs the admins love to achieve super sayan abilitys.

MY OPINION: SAO PROGRESSIVE does the martial art skill some justice in the Aincrad arc as it was given a more proper introduction. Basically to somehow give a tutorial based quest that not only enhances the narrative perspective but also does the sole topic of the show some justice. I hope the same studio will make Progressive into an anime as it will be the perfect reboot of the old Sword Art Online Aincrad Arc.

Spoiler warning (or not) I remember seeing a scene from the PV of this cour showing Asuna at Kirito’s room at the ocean turtle and her saying ” You will come back, won’t you”. On that note I’m hoping we at least get that scene before mid-season break.

Hey Gamerturk this isn’t alicization related though I was wondering, with the ordinal scale movie that was obviously an anime exclusive movie though I’ve been seeing Abec artwork on ordinal scale. So does ordinal scale (is/is it) getting a light novel adaptation or is that just art by him?

I’m surprised you didn’t mention naked Quinella. You fear censure but in the end the animators could do a great job maintaining the fidelity of the LN.

I’m confused as to why Kirito doesn’t use perfect weapon control art often. I know that from the other seasons, we found out that Kirito doesn’t give it his all unless necessary, and Alicization is completely necessary for him to use it. I mean.. He has used it only twice before (I think) meanwhile Eugeo and Alice have used it a lot. Is there something to this that I am missing? (I JUST LOVE KIRITO’S PERFECT WEAPON CONTROL ART)

@Gamerturk I have a question regarding what Kirito mentioned about Eugeo surpassing him. Kirito had a good chunk of experience in terms of fighting inside the virtual world while Eugeo basically lived inside that world for the rest of his life. Now granted Kirito has more experience but wouldn’t Eugeo’s natural movements be better than Kirito hence Eugeo being able to surpass him. Maybe I was thinking on how Eugeo could have developed his own system exploit if he had the mind and creativeness of Kirito.

Question about what is said on 19:50 with spoiler:
In later episode 23 Administrator did use 30 thermal elements to attack Alice, harming her so didn’t break the rules that she was raised with? And she attempted to kill Kirito with her sword, but in this case is it because she knew Kirito is from other world so even killing Kirito would just sent him back to his world, so it doesn’t count as killing?

This episode was great the thing that I love the most was The reunion and emotional interaction between the three childhood friends including Alice Synthesis thirty. The thing I hated was the horny clown who requested on being fucked in the reward for taking the trio out even their faces showed surprise except Kazuto who showed disgust

@Gamerturk remember when Kirito saw Eugeo synthesis 32 and his reaction was in disbelief. "Disbelief" the emotion Kirito felt as of seeing his partner. This scene could be a subtle foreshadow on the things to come especially Eugeo’s death. Eugeo as a synthesized knight symbolizes Eugeo being taken away from Kirito temporarily, Eugeo’s death would be Eugeo taken away permanently. To add, this also shows how long Kirito’s feeling of disbelief here. Too much that it also lingered inside him in the real world.

1. A majority of the diving objects are made from non metalic objects like trees(like the night sky sword and the osmanthus blade) or in eugeos case ice. So why a barrier that is supposed to stop metallic objects stop the blue rose sword in the first place ?
2. Also if I remember correctly the two daggers that cardinal gave to kirito and eugeo was made from her own powers (due to some reason I remember that the daggers were made from cardinals hair or something). So why did the barrier affect it?

I’m sure there was a lot crammed up in one episode, and I understand why the studio is always on the clock. Pretty much the same reason why we only got to Floor 75 in only 14 episodes. I’m looking forward to what happens when kirito yells at rath because of Eugeo dying (correct me if I’m wrong) because I am wondering what rath would do. Would they bring him back, stop the underworld project or let ignore continue but let kirito suffer from the trauma and lost. Also would Eugeo dying remind him on when sachi and the moonlit black cats guild died? Also would there be a revival item at underworld?

*Minor Correction:* As pointed out by TpFire in one of the comments, Quinella at the moment has suspicions about Kirito, because she couldn’t read his data, similar to Cardinal’s initial suspicions 2 years ago when she tasked Charlotte with him. Ref: V14 Page 92, Yen Press translation

You should probably mention this in a future video. The one installed the code 871 is Yanai, he called it "Code 871" since 871 can be read as ya-na-i in Japanese. He used to work for Sugo Nobuyuki which you know who that is, and he was one of the two snail-like-creatures-with-tentacles who found Asuna on her way out and brought her back in the cage on top of the Yggdrasil in the Alfheim arc.

he had defeated Chudelkin. She first called him a “irregular unit” because she thought he was born from an unofficial marriage, but realized where he was from after he used Incarnation to briefly become “The Black Swordsman”

@Gamerturk I did notice that Release Recollection was replaced by Enhance Armament in the scene where Eugeo froze Kirito. But maybe, just maybe it was a decision to show that Eugeo won’t use the second power of the blade to highlight "Just immobilize them" instead of draining their life away with release recollection. I think it was a better decision because that’s how it was built on in the anime on episode 18. Fans can make the assumption that Eugeo remembers a little and tried to avoid hurting them.
