Jouten did you really think asta would let sista lily leave the black clover universe lol ?. But I prefer accel world to sao. I think sao has interesting ideas but it comes down to the execution by the studio adaptating the source material. Because I think sao fans have said that the first season the studio skipped a good piece of the light novel for example the jumping of stage to stage. Also if I remember correctly the second half of season 2 really humanized asuna’s character and I was truly left impressed by the end. For me sao is more of guilty pleasure anime cool in the moment and that’s about it.

I feel like the tree is way too small. In the novels it was meant to be so large that it prevented them from farming anywhere near it or something but this seems just bigger than average

And also, thank you for saying how the second half of the first episode was the worst thing you’ve seen in reference to Alicization, I mean, for the life of me I cannot understand why 90% of anything that happened in the latter half of Episode 1 had to happen, it was SOOOOOOOOOOOOO BAD, the starting Alicization part was interesting, and good for the fact that it was an effective way to set up the rest of the series, then we get back to the real world, go through the absolutely pointless GGO bit for… no apparent reason… and then we get this long Cafe Exposition Dump of stuff that I just don’t care about (albeit my favorite part of the entire episode was also in that same scene, but, given that it was a reference to Kirito’s time in the Underworld, and him remembering Alice, which had me go HOLY SH*T EMOTION!!! It just kind of kills anything to do with the real world) the only parts I can justify that were nice to be in the latter half of the first episode is the reference to Kirito showing emotion when he was trying to remember Alice, and then when Kirito got stabbed by Johnny and he stabbed him with the Umbrella, those were the ONLY good parts of the latter half of the episode, which means that at best, the episode gets a 60% from me, absolutely awful, this episode was significantly better with some entertaining dialogue and forming a practical conversation between Kirito and Eugeo that helped catch Kirito up to the world given it would be indefinitely jarring for Kirito to just suddenly know EVERYTHING with now prior explanation or scene to attribute to his knowledge of the underworld. Then we get my second favorite part of the entire point of Alicization at this point, Selka even after 3 full episodes of interaction doesn’t insinuate she wants to ride Kirito’s dick, thank GOD. So, yeah, the only time I cared about Kazuto in the real world was when it was during the Fairy Dance Arc, because everything that happened in the game was trash, but all of Kazuto’s interactions with Suguha in the real world were absolutely golden.

Just saying the first 2 seasons suck but the publishers at the time pushed the writer to shorten and end it which is why it felt rushed, this whole season is amazing and he actually takes his time, there is story and development. Not just Kirito pulling op skills out his ass

I like alicization a lot more than other two seasons. I hate two things about SAO
1. Pointless one sided harem which we know that it will never be canon.
2. Super thick plot armor, useless unrealistic AI and MC coming back to life from death.
This seasons so far seems like it won’t have those two. Of course it will have plot armor but I don’t think it will be of that level BS as season 1.

Kirito should definitely get his ass beat more often i agree. The series has many faults. That being said I think it’s a good series when you put aside the plot holes and some of the main character mellow drama bs and just take it for what it is, an adventure/action/somewhat love story type of series. 2/3 of those genres are more profound than the other.
