Also about the whole "worst arc in OP" people say that about EVERY arc, and they only say it because that’s generally when that specific person finally caught up to the current (whatever arc it is at the time) and now they have to wait week by week for one episode

Well, worst Arc of One piece doesn’t necessarily mean bad Arc. If you start ranking them where would you put Fishman island? For me, the least fun arc was Foxy pirates arc.

I loved seeing all the Straw Hats fight the New Fishman Pirates together, it was a great way to see their new abilities and just unite as a crew ever since the Time Skip and with this being the first main arc after it as well. ???

I guess what made fishman island a bit disappointing for others is that really, the main villains are not that much of a challenge had they not been able to use those drugs. It’s the first after timeskip so the strawhats are supposed to be very overpowered, but the capabilities of their enemies are a bit too underpowered for them.

The reason why people say an arc is bad is because it likely doesn’t work well when you watch it weekly. Also the strawhats are clearly too overpowered in this arc

SMF, the people that dislike this arc are those watching this anime only – or mostly – for the fights. From that perspective this arc was indeed not super exciting, as the opponents are clearly not a treat to the SH’s. But One Piece is much much more than fights. This arc is actually cool, with the story of Fisher Tiger and Otohime being one of the best thing ever of the whole anime.

it’s not that Sanji can walk on air but his kick is so powerful and fast that he can jump off air molecules. if he stands still he will fall so he has to keep jumping. the anime slows down so you can see his expression and stuff but he’s not really standing still
