my speculation is that the rebuild should end the same way as the end of evangelion , but because there was a third impact and 14 years skip in the rebuild , i think there will be a major differnce in the final movie

It’s a real shame that this is the final entry and for Evangelion as a while (hopefully not.) I could see this film series continue after this one. A lot of potential here. Like rebuilding NERV Headquarters to receive the next generation of Evangelion pilots to defend what’s left of humanity as well as grown up Shinji taking the roll his father once held, etc. I could see it even spawning a brand new season of the TV anime but being more based on the Rebuild adaptation.

What if the reason why Rei never materialized along with Shinji was because somehow, her soul was absorbed into the Walkman? Unless within the 14 year timeskip, Rei was materialized and absorbed into Lilith and died.

Eva 3.0+1.0 has a 2020 release window. Just got announced recently. Hoping we get it soon but it’s Anno so I know not to hold my breath. It’s also Anno so it will hopefully be worth the wait.

I mean why shouldn’t it He didn’t even go through the entire Impact thing so everyone is still a puddle of period and the remainder of the Lillith-breed is still in that ark-whale-blimb headquarter with mediocre space pirate villains inside…

According to the manga…the third impact was the final impact. Instead of an lcl filled wasteland, Earth is restored. Relics of the war between the angels and nerve remains, but people have no memory of it ever happening. The only ones who do have their memories intact are Shinji, Yui, and Rei, although Rei and Yui remain within the core of unit 01. Shinji continues his life as a high schooler in Tokyo, and in the final page Shinji walks off into the snow with the cross Misato gave him.
If I had to guess, Evangelion 4.0 probably ends the same way with the fourth and final impact. Commander Ikari is always found trying to merge with Yui, upon the 3.5 impact a strange geometric object is formed. It is seen that the once deactivated evas are now operational. The object likely creates AT fields, which are also known to be lifeforces. Perhaps Ikari wishes to take back the core of unit 01 and reactivate unit 01 with said object. Afterwards, he could create Adam once more. Now, Lilith was already brought back to life after the 3.5 impact. Ikari likely finds a way to make Adam and reunite it with Lilith, ergo creating the fourth impact. There, Ikari could once more be reunited with Yui who still exists within the core of unit 01. Shinji and unit 2+8 might just fail, but this time Shinji might recreate the world with the fourth impact.
So far that is my theory. 4.44 may never come out, so I hope my answer will stop your needless hoping. Also, I’m not a weeboo, can’t be one if you’re already Korean, where anime is already intertwined with the culture. HAHA suckers.

I have faith that the last film Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0+1.0 will answer all are questions that need to be answered but I’m just disappointed that this will be the last film Anno makes for the franchise. Let me ask you a question, is it possible that at the end of 1.11 and 2.22 and 3.33 are all parts of 3.0+1.0? Remember after the credits in 1.11 & 2.22 & 3.33 there were those scenes that didn’t really make sense at all? What if those scenes are sections of 3.0+1.0?
It’s possible and I’m making a video about it because I feel as if you missed the chance to do so.

it depends on how you see 3.33!
All in all I will make my final statement about that movie when i see the final installment "3.0+1.0".
I need the relation to make my final conclusion.
But what I really liked in 3.33 were the subtle hints from "Fushigi no Umi no Nadia"
– the AAA Wunder that was a clear reference to the Nautilus
– Misato had a characterdevelopment that echoed captain Nemo
– The New-Nerv complex that looked like the tower of Babel
– and three songs from the Nadia score were re-arranged for 3.33
I’d secretly wish more of a connection or references in "3.0+1.0" – even though I guess it will stay a wish.

these poor children really deserve a happy ending , i mean they’ve been through a lot both mentaly , physically and emotinally specificaly SHINGI AND ASUKA , they had scars of the past both from their parents , and now suddenly they carry the fate of the world , maybe it’s fine for asuka since she want attention , but for shingi he carry the most important role , whether to save or not

While I agree on some of your opinions I need to disagree are your plot, most fans of EVA want to know what happened those 14 years ago while Shinji was asleep, it’s possible that we may never get a answer or maybe just a vague answer but Anno has specifically said time & time again that he wants people to communicate through art.

Alpha sign on Shinjis back gives out that he’s the first man on earth ( Adam) now the remaining wheman are there to sort it out or whatever who’ll be Eve/Lilith to headstart the new world with Alpha Adam which’ll be the gospel of new genesis (neon genesis evangelion) I’m expecting a baby in the last movie from the new world pair of Adam and Eve. #JordanPeterson bible lectures on youtube.

At this point anno should troll us into making a full one new series or a miniseries for the sake of plot and character development.
The new movies so far are too cut and dry.
